Where do you get the shimmer in Disney Dreamlight Valley? In which areas does the shimmer spawn and what tool can you use to find the so-called time changing part? The question may have been similar in recent days from one or other player who is currently dealing with the new content on the also new Island of Eternity. The Isle of Eternity comes to the game with the new A Rift in Time expansion and features an entirely new area with four new characters, new fish, flowers, ingredients and crafting materials. The latter also includes, among other things, the time changing parts that are needed for crafting at the Table of Time. Part of it is the “Shimmer” and in this short guide we show where you can find the time changing part.
Find and get shimmer
There are a total of ten time-changing parts on the Isle of Eternity and they can all be found with the new stately hourglass. With the stately hourglass you can track down hidden treasures and then collect them. The treasures spawn randomly in all areas of the Isle of Eternity but also in Dreamlight Valley. In addition, you can quickly farm many of these treasures in a small space using the time rifts in the form of floating balls. In addition to the ancient plate, the ancient radiator or the ancient core, the parts of time change also include the shimmer. While we all found the first parts mentioned quite easily when completing the quests with the hourglass, the “Shimmer” was still undiscovered in the collection. If you have a similar situation, you should do the following.
- In order to find the shimmer with the hourglass, you first have to improve the stately hourglass. You can get the Hourglass upgrade at the Table of Time for 10,000 Mists.
- With the hourglass at level 2, you can now search for the shimmer via the normal hidden treasures or the time rifts (floating white balls). The Shimmer spawns outside of the Isle of Eternity in the worlds of Frozen, The Lion King, Moana, Ratatouille, Toy Story, WALL-E, and Beauty and the Beast “.
In our case, it took a few tries until we found the shimmer with the hourglass in the areas mentioned. So you have to have some patience.
Create shimmer fragments
The Shimmer is needed as a crafting material for some furniture and fragments at the Table of Time. The fragments also unlock when you upgrade the hourglass.
