Some legends retired this summer or moved to clubs that are not playable in EA FC 24. That’s why you have to do without players like Ibrahimović, Özil, Iniesta and some other beloved players.
An era is coming to an end: we have to do without some incredible football icons in the new FIFA 24, EA Sports FC 24. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Gareth Bale and Andrés Iniesta are not included in EA FC 24.
There are different reasons for the absence of these stars. Some legends have ended their long careers (maybe the guys play EA FC 24 themselves), other well-known players have moved on to clubs whose league is not licensed. As a result, these players are absent from EA FC 24.

Below, we’ll name some of the best-known players who didn’t make it into EA Sports FC. Let’s start with the player with the best bicycle kick goal of all time.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Ibrahimovic retired at the age of 41, so of course he’s not playable in EA FC 24. Maybe the Swede will return to the game in the years to come as an icon or a hero. Ibra needs to get an Icon card if EA Sports can license it. After numerous knee injuries, Ibra recently missed most of the season with AC Milan and finally realized the lion was too old for professional football.
Andres Iniesta
iniesta is one of the best midfielders in the history of football. The Spaniard has been leading his successful career away from Europe for a long time already. After five years with Japanese Premier League club Vissel Kobe, Iniesta joined the Emirates Club to once again fill the family coffers.
Thus, the 39-year-old joined a club from the UAE Pro League, which is not playable in EA FC 24. Therefore, we have to do without Iniesta in EA FC 24.
Gianluigi Buffon
Gianluigi Buffon is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. The Italian ended his long career just a few weeks ago. The man hung up the gloves at the proud age of 45. Buffon will be mostly missed in career mode, where you could sign him for a €1 transfer fee for a season if you needed a good short-term goalkeeper.
Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale surprisingly ended his actually quite successful career. The Welshman has been repeatedly accused of focusing more on golf than football. In FIFA 23, he has already received a very interesting End of an Era SBC, which many players have completed.
Bale is definitely a candidate for an Icon or Hero card in the future.
Mesut Ozil
Mesut Ozil unfortunately had an unspectacular end to his great career. After a good time at Real Madrid and initially strong performances at Arsenal, things slowly but surely went downhill for the German 2014 World Cup winner.
In the end, he ended up at Fenerbahce Istanbul, but couldn’t really shine there. He moved to Basaksehir after just a few appearances before announcing his retirement in March.
As a World Cup winner, Özil is definitely a candidate for an Icon card.
