In-game events are one of the best ways for a player to collect rewards. Participating in each challenge actively or in slow motion will prove to be a major challenge most of the time, so you will definitely need a good strategy if you want to compete against a group of other players. This applies to the weekly Evony: The King’s Return event called Monarch Competition. It consists of daily events where the player will prove his power and skills in order to collect the most points. Evony Monarch Contest Guide for All Stages
The Monarch competition is a weekly event, with each stage occurring randomly. This is, of course, with the exception of the final event which lasts three days and closes the week, the Kill Enemies event. The other four events of the week are chosen between the City Development, Power Augmentation, Troop Training, Resource Gathering, and Monster Killing events. Here is the Evony Monarch competition guide for all stages:
- city development: start with your research and low level buildings. Then use the help of your alliance to increase their construction and research power.
- Power increase: your goal is to increase your power as much as possible, because losing it will decrease the points you have. Make sure to bring wounded troops to heal them for this event, it will increase your power and earn points. Repairing siege machines and recalling deserters will also add points.
- Troop training: The more troops you train, the more points you earn. Take into account that the higher the level of your troops, the more points you will accumulate, so keep this in mind to maximize your points.
- Resource collection: Collecting resources will earn you points. Start gathering resources the day before the event starts. Thus, as soon as midnight strikes, you will complete your resource collection and secure a few first points. Be sure to work on your gathering speed by researching, using monarch gear, and general gear. This will have a positive impact on the collection speed and your points gain.
- kill monsters: if it is not obvious, you will earn points by killing monsters. Focus on common mobs above level 12 rather than boss mobs, as your point to stamina ratio will be higher.
- *kill event*: The last event of the platoon lasts 72 hours. You will have to earn points by killing or wounding enemy troops. If their level is higher, you will earn more points. Upgrade the Holy Palace and Prison to match your dungeon level to minimize your losses. You will gather more deserters and capture more enemy troops.
