Where do you actually find mountain fish? What waters do you need to fish in to get the three mountain fish for the quest “A Heartwarming Opening”? When you unlock the icy plateau in the northwest of the map, you will also receive some quests from the new NPCs. A quest is the heartwarming start in which you have to catch three special mountain fish. But what exactly is meant by “mountain fishing” and which species of fish does it include?
Fishing mountain fish: A heartwarming start
The mountain fish sought for the quest can be fished directly in the waters on the icy plateau. At the time of the quest, the frost and snowstorm in the icy plateau should have already disappeared and you can stay in the area without a warming potion. If you go up the stairs on the left from Oorlich and follow the path further up, you will see a small lake on the right, which is also connected to the waterfall. In the lake you can find various fish such as the black catfish. You can catch the fish and pull them out of the water with an advanced fishing rod. There were only two fish in our waters, so you either have to wait a few minutes or let a night pass to catch the third mountain fish.
Finally, you have to sell the three fish on the market table in the city center or at the stall on your own farm. This means that the “A Heartwarming Start” quest has been successfully completed.
