Fae Farm: Growing Flowers

How do you actually grow flowers in the new Fae Farm? What do you have to consider when “flower breeding” and how can you cross two flowers to get a new type of flower? These are the questions that one or two players of the new cozy game from Phoenix Labs may have been dealing with over the past few days, who either want to grow the pink flower for a quest or just want to grow flowers. In this short guide we will show you how to cross two types of flowers and unlock a new type of flower.

Breeding and crossing flowers

Growing flowers works similarly to other cozy and farmer games, where you can also cross-breed flowers. All you have to do is plant two different flower seeds in a flower bed and leave a space in the middle. In the free field between the flower, a crossing is created between the flowers on the left and the right side (or above and below).

As an example for the pink flower: the red flower on the left, leave it free in the middle (where the pink flower will later grow), and the white flower on the right

The first flower seeds can be bought from Rosalind in Oststadt. The good Rosalind sells the following three flower seeds on offer.

Yellow tulip seeds

Later in the game, once you unlock the elf village, you can buy more flower seeds from Asphodel. These include the three following flowers.

Blue hyacinth seeds

For example, to grow the pink flower, you need to buy a red rose seed and a white lily seed. Now plant the two seeds on the left and right of a field of three and leave a field free in the middle. With a bit of luck, the hybrid flower will grow in the middle after a few days (sometimes it takes longer), like the pink flower in this case. The resulting hybrid flower and its seeds can then be purchased at the planting table after activation.
