S means the best units build. Even when fighting without these powerful emblem rings, they can defend themselves with their base stats alone.
A are more than viable options if built properly and paired with emblems that highlight their benefits.
B is brilliant until the end of the match. These units will struggle harder than the units listed above until they receive the best emblems, and even then they may not be as viable as just running around with armies made up of SA.
CDs are units that will not be needed late in the game unless actually built first. These units are consistently weaker than any of the ones listed above due to their more restrictive growth and usage.
