Fritzbox deactivate automatic restart, plan and set time

How can you do that? Disable automatic restart of the Fritzbox? Can you do that? Schedule automatic restart and if so, where can you get it? Set timewhen should the restart be carried out? Anyone who uses a Fritzbox as a router at home will probably know the “problem” and the internet connection will briefly break during the night. Most of the time it only takes a few seconds to a few minutes and the internet is up and running again. Even though the restart is a practical thing, it is particularly annoying when you are still doing something like playing a game or downloading something. The question arises, how to disable automatic restart?

Fritzbox deactivate automatic restart

With the “automatic restart” It’s usually not a restart of the router, but the Forced separation active as standard meant. Depending on the provider, the internet connection is briefly disconnected and reconnected at night, but the router is not restarted. If the set time doesn’t suit you or you want to deactivate the forced disconnection completely, you can change this at any time in the Fritzbox settings.

  1. First you have to access the Fritzbox user interface via the URL fritz.box and log in (if you have assigned a password).
  2. On the left side you can deactivate the forced disconnection or simply change the time via “Internet” and “Access data” under the “Internet access” tab.
  3. If you want to deactivate the automatic restart of the Fritzbox or the forced disconnection, then you simply have to uncheck “Postpone the forced disconnection by the provider to the time between…”. Alternatively, you can also change the set time.

Incidentally, the forced separation cannot be switched on and off for individual days of the week.

Have Fritzbox restart automatically at night?

Unlike the forced disconnection, the Fritzbox does not have a setting for an automatic restart of the router. As already mentioned above, the forced disconnection means that the router does not restart at night. In the linked article we have already described how you can have the Fritzbox restart automatically.

Is there actually a router history on the Fritzbox that you can use to read the websites you have visited?
