Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos: Find Hot Mushroom and Grass

Where do you get the hot mushroom in the new Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos? In which areas can you find the hot mushroom and grass to successfully complete quests like “Collect the materials Doc asked for”? In the new Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos you have to get different materials as part of many story missions. So sooner or later you have to collect some materials for Doc Jr. in order to improve the invention machine. In addition to wooden boards and grass, the materials also include the hot mushroom.

Find hot mushroom

The hot mushroom can be found around the volcano but also on the beach near the village of Lilikala in the southeast of the map. There are two spots on the beach where the hot mushrooms can spawn and one of them is visible in the screenshot below. By the way, the mushroom is not only needed for quests, but also as an ingredient and to warm up. The item description says “A mushroom that feels warm. If you eat one, you’ll warm yourself up.”

Planting and cutting grass

The grass seeds can be bought from the seed dealer in various villages such as Fredrika in the starter village of Lenctenbury. The grass seeds cost just five coins and take four days until you can harvest the grass with the sickle. Incidentally, the grass should not be confused with the weeds, which are incorrectly referred to as grass when they are mowed with a sickle in the wild. Unlike weeds, the grass does not grow wild in the game world and can only be obtained by growing it with grass seeds.
