What function do the statues with balls actually have in Hogwarts Legacy? How can you activate the statue with a ball and what is the puzzle behind it? Over the past few days, this may be the question asked by one or other player of the new Harry Potter game who is currently traveling through Hogwarts Castle and has discovered the statue. In this short guide we show what the statues with a ball are all about.
Interact statue with ball
In Hogwarts Castle there are several statues with a ball (could also be a globe) in their hands. If you stand at the statue, you cannot interact with it directly. However, if you use the Revelio spell, the statue will light up. So that means you can somehow interact with the ball statues, but how does that work? To activate the statue with the ball in your hand, all you have to do is stand in front of it and use the Levioso spell. Then aim at the statue or ball and use Levioso once. Afterwards, the sphere opens and the statue disappears, but leaves behind a manual page. You can then collect the manual page with the Accio spell and the “riddle” about the statue is solved.
Not to be confused with the Demiguise statues
By the way, in Hogwarts Legacy there are several statues with a ball in their hand. This includes not only the statues visible in the screenshot, but also the Demiguise statues. The Demiguise Moon Statues are significantly smaller than the statue shown above and can only be collected at night. You can improve the Alohomora spell using the statues. You need the Alohomora spell to pick the locks in the game. There are three lock levels in total and initially you can only crack lock level 1. With more Demiguise statues found, later Level 2 and Level 3. By the way, you first find out about the Demiguise moon statue in the quest “The Man Behind the Moons”.
This is how you can buy and summon the breeding enclosure in Hogwarts Legacy.
