Palia laying the foundation on the Switch

A few days ago the MMO Palia was also released for the Nintendo Switch and, as expected, the game is enjoying great popularity there. Anyone who has recently plunged into the adventure of Palia and has already completed one or two quests may ask themselves the question, how can you actually lay the foundation? As part of the first quests, you have to tidy up your own property and remove trees, stones and other junk. This is followed by the construction of the workbench, the first tent and later the first house. You have to lay a foundation for the house, but how does that actually work?

Palia: Building Foundations on the Nintendo Switch

In order to build a foundation for a Palia on the Switch, you must of course first move to the property (if you haven’t already done so) and walk into the construction area. Once there, you can now open the “property menu” and use it to build the foundation, but you can also do other things later, such as expanding the property. The property menu can be opened on the Switch using the L3 button, i.e. press the left analog stick of the Joy-Con or Pro controller once.

  1. Go to the property and open the property menu by pressing the left analog stick.
  2. In the bird’s eye view you now have a good overview of the property, you have to press the X key again and you can then select the property elements on the left, which also include the house foundation.
  3. Select the foundation and place it in a free area on the property.

By the way, a permit is required to expand the property in Palia. You can buy the permit from Kenyatte, who can be found in the City Hall. The same applies to house extensions and manufacturing licenses, which are also sold at the town hall. The permits require reputation and the other licenses and challenges can be purchased with normal gold.
