Persona 6 launch window and available platforms revealed

A recent report from an insider YouTuber has revealed when we might see the long-awaited Persona 5 sequel and also where it will be released.

Persona fans are in luck, since according to the latest rumors, they could receive two big news at the next Xbox and PlayStation events. On the one hand, Atlus is expected to announce the remake of Persona 3, one of the most acclaimed games in the saga, at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 which will take place on Sunday, June 11. This remake would be an improved version both on a technical and playable level of the original, and could reach Xbox consoles with some type of exclusivity or marketing agreement. On the other hand, the well-known youtuber Nate the Hate reveals Persona release window 6 and their launch platforms, further exciting fans.

Japanese studio Atlus confirmed in July 2021 that Persona 6, the new iteration of its beloved role-playing game series, was in development. However, he hasn’t given any more information about the game since that announcement. For his part, YouTuber Nate the Hate said in his most recent podcast at the time of writing this article, that Persona 6 would come out at the end of 2024 and would only be available for PlayStation 5 temporarilysomething that had already been announced at the beginning of 2022 and does not rule out the Xbox version.

Persona 6 and its launch platforms have been revealed thanks to YouTuber Nate the Hate

Nate the Hate doesn’t have a perfect record when it comes to leaks, but it is based on real events. For example, he anticipated the existence of the two Nintendo exclusives (Metroid Prime Remastered and Fire Emblem Engage), but it failed miserably when predicting that they would be released in the second part of 2022 instead of at the beginning of 2023. Likewise, the YouTuber clarified precisely that the Silent Hill 2 remake would be an exclusive launch for PlayStation with a version soon to arrive on PC, which was surprising to learn is true.

Microsoft and SEGA recently announced a strategic alliance to explore the future of cloud game development with the Azure platform. However, this does not mean that SEGA games will be exclusive to Xbox, since the Japanese company continues to focus on the diversity of platforms. Nevertheless, Persona 6 exclusivity deal with PlayStation is speculated to have been signed before relations between SEGA and Microsoft strengthenedsince currently Xbox has enriched its catalog with the arrival of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal, and could even announce the long-awaited remake of Persona 3 for the first time.
