Sims 4 Island Life Types of Death: Death by Sharks?

A few days ago the new Sims 4 expansion pack called Island Life was released and in it you can send your Sims to a tropical island. There are numerous new activities and objects on the island, such as a volcano. With the Island Life expansion pack there is another small innovation and that is another type of death. A shark plays a role in the manner of death, although the Sim is apparently not being eaten by the shark, but rather it is a warning that there is something underneath them that is pulling them underwater.

Sims 4 Island Life Types of Death: Death by Shark Attack?

If you want to see the new way of dying in Sims 4 Island Life, all you have to do is send your Sim into deep water (where you can also dive, for example at the diving buoy). Here you can not only meet dolphins, but occasionally you can also see a shark fin sticking out of the water. When the shark circles around your Sim, you briefly hear the familiar melody and that’s usually it for the Sim. You can see the Sim drowning, the shark is not directly visible. The Grim Reaper then appears (with diving goggles and snorkel) and the Sim is gone.

In our test it sometimes took a long time before a shark even appeared. According to our research, there is probably no way to speed up the new type of death. Some people say that you should catch a fish first. If the Sim has caught a fish and is carrying it with him, then the probability of a shark is said to be higher. But the latter didn’t do much for us.

Update: There is also a code for the sharks in the island life cheats. Using the cheat code sims.add_buff buff_OceanSwimming_ReactionTrigger_SharkSighting increases the probability of sharks appearing in the water by 50 percent.
