Skull & Bones plays in another league: Ubisoft justifies paying 80 euros for its open world because it is a quadruple A

There is very little left before we can get our hands on the full version of Skull & Bones, since Ubisoft has enabled access to the open beta of its pirate open world. It will be next February 16 when the title finally hits stores after an innumerable number of delays.

It will do so on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, costing 79.99 euros at launch in the console versions, while computer users will be able to play for 59.99 euros. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, was questioned regarding the price of the work during the recent call with the French company’s investors.

And one analyst asked if the cost to users “could limit the size of the player base.” The person responsible has not only justified that it is worth it, but he has gone further arguing that we are facing a video game from another category.

“You’ll see that Skull & Bones is a full-fledged game. It’s a very big game and we think people will really see how vast and complete it is. So it’s a really complete triple-A, quadruple-A game that will pay off in the long run.” term”.

The truth is Skull & Bones promises to last a long time, since it has been conceived as a game as a service. Guillemot himself has indicated that “it has the potential to establish itself as a new long-term experience”, since the title already has a programmed roadmap that will feed its seas with new missions and content.
