EXCLUSIVE: Mackenzie Shirilla dressed up as a CORPSE for Halloween just three months after murdering her boyfriend and innocent friend Davion Flanagan in a 100 mph ‘hell on wheels’ crash

These are the stunning Halloween costumes of a ruthless teenage killer who dressed up as a corpse just three months after murdering her boyfriend and his innocent friend in a 100 mph “hell on wheels” car crash.

On July 31, 2022, Mackenzie, then 17, crashed into the side of a building in Strongsville, Ohio, at 100 mph. Her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, was in the car, as was her friend Davion Flanagan. Both boys were killed instantly. She barely survived.

It was a twisted attempt to end the tumultuous relationship she had with Dominic. Davion, who had asked for a ride home, was “collateral damage” – nothing more than “cargo” for the twisted teenage killer.

She called it an accident and that she would miss them both forever.

But on October 31, just 12 weeks later, Mackenzie, 18 and fully recovered from her injuries, was ready to party.

With encouragement from her parents who told her she deserved to have fun, she hit the town with her friends, doing her makeup in a hotel room before posing in car parks in newly discovered photos obtained by DailyMail .com.

His choice of costume stunned the parents of his victims.

Mackenzie Shirilla disguised herself as a corpse just 12 weeks after killing her boyfriend and his innocent friend in a twisted, deliberate accident. She survived and was ready to party on Halloween, spending the weekend with her friends in a hotel room.

Mackenzie and her friends opted for morbid costumes like these. Her parents said she needed to ‘have fun’ after the accident

12 weeks before her holiday weekend, Mackenzie killed Davion Flanagan, left, and her boyfriend Dominic Russo, right, in the crash. She wanted to kill Dominic to end their twisted and tumultuous relationship, prosecutors say. Dominic’s friend Davion was in the wrong place at the wrong time

For her second look, she presented herself as “drunk” – the toxic combination of cough syrup, alcohol and a soft drink that has become popular among young people.

Her friend, opting for the same theme, dressed up as a joint.

The clothing and her lack of thought for the boys she had killed appear to have been a turning point for prosecutors, who charged her with double homicide five days later.

In August, after a lengthy trial, a disbelieving Mackenzie was found guilty.

His mother Natalie, equally surprised at being convicted, addressed the suits in a stunning outburst during the sentencing hearing.

“She had been crying in bed for three months… so her friends asked her if she wanted to go trick-or-treating. We told him to leave.

“She just needed a second of pleasure after losing everyone.” »

The boys were both killed in the accident. Mackenzie was pulled from the vehicle clinging to life, but survived

In her six-minute monologue, Natalie repeatedly called the accident an “accident” and explained how much her family “loved” Dominic.

The judge had to remind him of Davion, Dominic’s friend who was in the back seat.

Mackenzie is currently serving a life sentence, but she will be eligible for parole in less than 15 years, when she is in her 30s.

Throughout the trial, she maintained that it was a terrible accident that she had no memory of. Her lawyers even suggested she could have lost control of her Toyota Camry, passed out while behind the wheel and unintentionally slammed it into the side of the factory.

Prosecutors showed the truth: She had deliberately driven into the building after calmly turning onto the street, with full control of the car.

In another disturbing TikTok, Mackenzie bragged about being able to “do drugs and not die.”

The motive was to end the relationship she had with Russo, whom she had previously threatened and “belittled.”

Davion, a 19-year-old preparing to attend hairdressing school, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Her parents, Scott and Jamie, tell DailyMail.com that while they want to forgive the teenager, her lack of remorse is haunting.

“We have strong faith and so does Davion. Even though I’m working on forgiveness, the complete lack of empathy or respect for his life is just shocking. It’s hard.

“We don’t want revenge, but it’s also very difficult to forgive someone in denial. And she’s totally in denial,” Jamie Flanagan said.

They had never met Mackenzie or Dominic, only knowing them as acquaintances of their son.

Davion and his two younger sisters Davyne and Dalia were adopted by Jamie and Scott Flanagan in 2011 after spending two years in the foster care system. Their biological parents were drug addicts unable to care for them.

“It’s heartbreaking and difficult to understand. The fact that he was in the back seat. The other boy didn’t deserve this either, but our son really had nothing to do with the whole situation. Insensitivity…how could anyone do that? To both boys, but especially to our son who is just an innocent bystander,” said Jamie, a pharmacist.

Her husband Scott added: “All he did was go home that night.

“Why didn’t she say “get out of the car Davion, it’s between me and Dominic.”

The couple adopted Davion and his two biological sisters, Davyne and Dalia, in 2011, when he was eight years old.

Davion planned to attend hair school. Her dream was to open her own hair salon

The siblings had been in foster care for more than two years after being removed from their biological parents’ care.

“Both parents were addicted. There were drugs, violence, incarceration, a lot of neglect. The children were very underweight when they came to us,” recalls Jamie.

Davion considered them his “second chance” at life.

After a series of leg injuries killed his dream of playing college football, he had begun pursuing a career as a barber.

“He was self-taught, we provided him with the materials and he watched YouTube and TikTok videos. Her dream was to go to hair school and open her own boutique.

“Before the accident, I drove him to Allstate Barber College to apply. »

The couple is currently raising money through a GoFundMe page to create a memorial scholarship in his name.

“She was such an amazing person and she didn’t think anything of him more than a piece of luggage in the back seat.”

“She stole his second chance and she stole our daughters. He was their protector, their only trusted biological family…and she stole him.

Mackenzie had previously threatened to kill Dominic and was recorded belittling and shouting at him during a previous argument.

“I’m mad at them,” Jamie said.

Even though Mackenzie was convicted of double homicide, the judge allowed her to serve her sentences concurrently, meaning she will be eligible for parole in 15 years.

“It was a bit shocking to learn that the sentences were going to run concurrently. It was a difficult thing to understand.

“Two young men died that night, but she is serving time for the murder of one person,” Scott said.

“In 15 years, we will talk about it again, a little less in fact because she has already served her sentence.

“In 30 years I’ll be almost 70, I’ll still be here and my daughters will be my age,” Jamie adds.

“That seems a little fairer. »

Mackenzie’s parents continue to maintain that the accident was one over which she had no control and which she does not remember.

The teenager was surprised when she was convicted of double murder earlier this year. She is currently serving a life sentence, with the first chance at parole in 15 years.
