Here is the amount of Bernard Tapie’s fortune and who inherited it

We no longer present Bernard Tapie. Businessman, minister, singer and even president of OM, “Nanard” will have experienced quite a twist. A life which allowed him to rank among the most influential men in France. And inevitably, his empire allowed him to reap a small fortune.

How much was Bernard Tapie’s fortune?

Nothing was simple with the former MP and the same goes for his fortune. If the newspaper Release estimated his fortune at nearly 400 million, it must be said that he was riddled with debt. This did not, however, prevent him from spreading his assets in several areas.

In terms of real estate, there is his private mansion estimated at 80 million euros which was resold to François Pinault for 80 million euros. Tapie also owned a 500 m² villa that he named the Mandala whose value is estimated between 50 and 70 million. Then there are his shares in Provence which the family estimates at 50 million as well as these furniture companies which complete his fortune.

Who are the heirs of Bernard Tapie?

Married since 1987, he was the father of 4 children. Among them, Stéphane who you could see on TPMP and her daughter Sophie, influencer. A succession which promises to be difficult given the complexity of the file. Indeed, its creditors and LCL are demanding nearly 400 million euros from it following the sale of Adidas, several trials have taken place for the dispute which has opposed the two parties since 1992. Very present in the media since the death of the Former MP, Dominique Tapie declared that she had inherited 640 million in debt. An amount which can be explained by the fact that her husband was convinced that he would be cured of his cancer and be able to repay this money. With his imprint and his aura, Bernard Tapie will have left his mark on the French landscape, like Silvio Berlusconi in Italy.

Mexico’s third fortune uses Spain to avoid taxes while his country demands billions from him

The controversial ultra-liberal businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego, Mexico’s third fortune, has in recent years woven a network of companies in Spain and Luxembourg to avoid taxes through the so-called ETVE, foreign securities holding entities, a fiscally advantageous tool to attract multinationals to Spain.

Salinas Pliego is one of the largest fortunes in Latin America and the third in Mexico, after Carlos Slim and the mining businessman Germán Larrea. There they accuse him of evading billions of euros, with more than a dozen complaints for tax disputes and a confrontation with the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
