Pokémon GO: Trainers are puzzling what research suddenly disappeared is all about

If you still play Pokémon GO very regularly and often, then you may have also seen the new research “Ghost in the Device”. In any case, there are numerous reports and speculations about this in the subreddit The Silph Road.

The research instructed: “Catch me if you can” and showed a small text emoji behind it. There were also 30 candies for a Pokémon whose silhouette was shown. In addition, part of a code was displayed, starting with “0HY0” – the rest remained hidden.

Fans are wondering whether it was a mistake, a premature release or a teaser. Many people tend to use teasers, but Niantic is also known for making one or two errors. But it is at least clear how things will continue.

The silhouette clearly showed Rotom. This also matches the number of stardust you got for research: 479, which is Rotom’s Pokédex number. You could already catch Rotom in Pokémon GO, but only during special events. The Pokémon is still rare in the game, especially for newcomers.

Everything points to Los Angeles

The research is expected to resume this weekend (February 17th and 18th). Then the Sinnoh tour takes place in its local version in Los Angeles. In the feature “A Paranormal Puzzle,” trainers in LA will then work together to uncover a code that will lead to a Rotom encounter. If the trainers solve this task locally, players around the world should also be able to take part.

Then the research may be distributed with a code. We will update this post if things turn out the way they are supposed to. Then you can find the code here!
