is the highest rank you can earn in a mission. You can achieve S Rank on Normal and Hard difficulties to complete your skin collection – every mission is different, but in general you can earn S Ranks fairly easily by following the tips below:
- Turn off the F22 “Raptor” Fighter jet free, which can be obtained via the central Aircraft Tree Unlock path. This is one of the best fighter planes in the game and can be equipped with special weapons that make most missions a breeze when replaying.
- SDBs make many missions downright trivial. For the F22 you can also unlock “multi-air” and “multi-ground” missiles, which can destroy anything in the air or on the ground very, very quickly.
- Earning S Ranks is all about completing objectives/tasks as quickly as possible and dealing as much damage as possible before time runs out. You can use as many missions and special weapons as you want.
- Be careful not to harm yourself in order to improve your ranking.
- To easily earn more points quickly, you should reload checkpoints to recharge your special ammo. There is no penalty for reloading. Knowing this will make getting S Ranks much, much easier.
- Upgrade your aircraft and weapons with parts to improve ammunition capabilities. Better targeting (lock-on), faster missiles and greater damage are very important. Only use upgraded weapon parts after unlocking the F22.
