Anyone who is currently traveling in the southeast of the world near the village of Lilikala in the new Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos will sooner or later be given the task of looking for a glowing pearl. You get the task from the good Aolani in the quest called “Go to the Big Pier on a Clear Night”. The description states “It appears that luminous pearls can be caught on the large pier on clear nights from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.” In this short guide we show you how to find and fish for the pearl.
Find the glowing pearl on the large pier
So, to fish for the Shining Pearl, you have to go to the big pier (which you repaired beforehand) and fish between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. at night. The important thing is that it has to be a small sky. If it rains, then you cannot complete the quest and have to wait until the next day. Instead of walking onto the large pier, waiting there until 8:00 p.m. and casting your fishing rod, you just have to walk to the yellow quest marker. Here you meet the tiny harvest goddess and after the conversation you continue with the task “Talk to Aolani”.
Get an expert fishing rod
Stop by Aolani the next day (or the same day if it’s not too late) and take her to Kaimana, from whom you can then get the improved fishing rod. For the upgrade you need 3x silver and 1x gold. The new fishing rod is the “expert fishing rod” that makes it easier to catch fish.
In Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos you can also improve other tools in addition to the fishing rod. For example, you can upgrade the hammer, the watering can, but also the pickaxe or the normal hoe.
