With the new “A Rift in Time” expansion you will meet some new characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including the good (or evil) Jafar from the Aladdin universe. You don’t speak to Jafar personally, but only via the hologram stations, one of which initially appears in the main square by the fountain and later on the Island of Eternity. After you have successfully completed all of Jafar’s quests, such as the “Your Eternal Reward” quest in which you have to find two jewels of time, Jafar disappears into his palace and cannot be seen in the game world again. The grand palace is located in the very north of the island and is accessible from both the sparkling dunes and the wild jungle. The question arises, can you unlock Jafar’s palace now, open the gate and enter?
Unlock Jafar’s Palace in Dreamlight Valley?
The short answer to the question is no, the castle or palace of Jafar cannot currently be entered. As mentioned above, you can get close to the palace via the sparkling dunes and the wild jungle, but the gate is barricaded and cannot be opened. Jafar’s palace will probably not be just decoration for much longer, because the developers at Gameloft published the roadmap for the upcoming updates weeks ago and, among other things, Jafar’s palace can be seen in it.
Palace of Jafar will probably be unlocked with the “Treasures of Time” expansion
The “Treasures in Time” expansion was announced on the “Expansion Pass Roadmap”. The release of the “Jafar” or “Aladdin” expansion is scheduled for summer 2024. The gate to the palace will probably have to be unlocked again as part of a new Jafar quest, which we will of course report on here. Until then, you will probably have to wait until summer 2024 before you can enter the palace.
