Atlas Fallen receives a huge patch to add AMD FSR 2 support, improve graphics and fix bugs

The update, which is available now, makes a large number of adjustments to improve the look and overall experience of the game

Deck 13 and Focus Entertainment have published a new update for Atlas Fallen on all platforms, whose main attraction is AMD FSR 2 support for Xbox Series X. The official notes Of this new update they mention that it will also be added for Xbox Series S later. In addition to support for AMD’s upscaling technology, the patch increases the level of graphical detail and draw distance.

Atlas Fallen “Update 1” update details

New additions

    • AMD FSR 2 is now available as a feature on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC (the Xbox Series S will still have the feature enabled in the future).
    • The version number is now displayed in the settings menu.

Gameplay

  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from being properly rewarded with Essence of Dust when collecting Pale Root with the Lucky Spotter skill.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Thorny Wraith in Monsalar: Bastengar’s Underground & Monsalar: Wildlands to disappear.
  • Fixed an invisible collision that prevented players from obtaining a collectible inside a cliff in Monsalar: Bastengar’s Underground. Fixed a bug that allowed Khendra to give players the Vanity item “Lion Breastplate” again even if players already had it.
  • Fixed bugs that prevented you from obtaining the following Essence Stones:
    • “Protective Instinct”: A summoner has a new respawn zone in The Black Souls: Citadel, allowing him to drop this Essence Stone.
    • “Hardening Scar”: Added to the Peddler’s inventory in The Black Souls: Citadel.
    • “Imperial Bastion”: Now added to the Peddler’s inventory if the player did not obtain it by defeating a Watcher’s Fury in Monsalar: Wildlands. Fixed a bug that prevented the “Disruptive Release” Essence Stone from properly hitting enemies.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed wraiths to disappear and lock players during the combat intro sequence if players were idle for too long.
  • Fixed a bug that caused equipped Essence Stones and Presents to be unequipped when changing presets. Fixed a rare bug where damaging enemies would not recharge the idol.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some animals to stop moving after reaching their first waypoint.
  • Fixed a rare progression crash where users could not get the latest AirDash upgrade.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented armor stats from updating correctly when gaining or losing armor bonuses.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some wraiths from crystallizing correctly when targeted by a Defrag attack.
  • Added a Photo Mode shortcut for Mouse and Keyboard.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Narrow Escape” Essence Stone from working properly.
  • Adjusted the “Crystal Healing” Essence Stone to be more efficient.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the “Ruthless Killer” Essence Stone to reset its cooldown after opening the pause menu.

Enemies

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Wraith Summoner from taking damage when targeted by a Defrag attack under very specific circumstances. Various balance updates based on feedback.
  • Improved damaging parts of several enemies.
  • Fixed a couple of bugs that caused enemies to appear with incorrect rotations, positions, or animations.
  • Fixed a bug that caused enemies in the air to fall in height when performing certain attacks.
  • Fixed a bug that caused certain enemies to enter a rage state after having a body part destroyed.

Visual

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Sealing Totems in Monsalar Rises: Wildlands to have disjointed beams.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Gauntlet’s visual effects to remain on the player character’s arm after Morrath picked it up in the cutscene at the Camp.
  • Improved detail levels and drawing distances.
  • Fixed the visual appearance of Morrath’s hair during his cutscenes.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the screen to flash red if you successfully blocked an enemy attack.

Audio

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Watchtower’s sound effects to trigger again when loading a save after defeating it.
  • Multiple fixes in the German dubbing.
  • Combat music now pauses after combat ends.
  • General fixes for weapon/hit sound effects.
  • General fixes for sound effects in Photo Mode.

User interface

  • Fixed a bug that caused the UI to become distorted when players changed the resolution and returned to the main menu.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Watcher’s Fury events to be counted as a Wraith Elite encounter in the map legend.
  • Fixed an issue where the exclamation mark was displayed on the tab but not on the inventory item.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the UI for the quest “The Fallen Knight” to not update correctly.

Technical

  • Fixed multiple crash instances.
  • Improved performance in the Lithesta Lower City area in Monsalar: Wildlands.
  • Improved frame rate drops when approaching Castrum VII in Calandrias: Forbidden Lands.
  • Changing the resolution from 4k to any other resolution no longer makes some objects invisible.
  • Fixed a bug that made the DX12 version brighter compared to Vulkan.

Achievements

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Defrag Them All” achievement from unlocking correctly.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Flawless Victory” achievement from unlocking correctly during co-op play.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the “In the Air” achievement from unlocking correctly when jumping over objects.

Cooperative

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the camera to rotate if the co-op partner started a conversation and the camera was moving.
  • Fixed an issue where the co-op partner could not purchase a treasure map after the host had purchased it.
  • Fixed a bug that caused co-op partners to get locked out when opening the Nyaal Prison door.
  • Fixed a bug that caused enemies to stop attacking players and remain dormant if their primary targets were downed in combat.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Khendra from properly rewarding both players with the Vanity item “Lion Breastplate” after speaking to her in Black Souls: Citadel.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a mismatch in the end credits, resulting in the end of the game not starting when playing co-op.
  • Fixed several crashes that occurred during gameplay.
  • Fixed a bug that caused host players to get stuck after interacting with Splinter to build the bridge during the “Building Bridges” side quest.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented guest players from fast traveling under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug that caused enemies to reset if players were too far away from each other.
  • The player can now heal and revive the companion if they join a more advanced co-op session before unlocking the idol tutorial in the selected save slot.
