CoD Mobile: Voice chat doesn’t work

The mobile branch of Call of Duty was released a few months ago and, as was almost to be expected, the game is enjoying great popularity. In CoD Mobile you can not only compete against other players in classic multiplayer, but there is also a battle royale mode and even a zombie mode. If you play CoD Mobile with friends, you may also want to use the integrated Vocie chat. This is usually activated by default and you can talk to each other via the cell phone microphone or headphones with a built-in microphone. But sometimes voice chat doesn’t work in Warzone and the question arises, why is that?

Call of Duty Mobile: Voice chat not working?

If voice chat doesn’t work in Call of Duty Mobile, there could be various reasons. The first thing you should do is check whether you have the latest version of the game app installed. Furthermore, simply restarting the app can sometimes help. If you continue to have problems with voice chat, you should check the following.

  • Microphone or voice chat disabled: In the CoD Mobile settings you can deactivate your own microphone and voice chat. If this is deactivated, you will of course not be able to talk to friends and other players via voice chat.
  • Microphone volume set too low: In addition to the switch for voice chat, you can also find a slider in the settings with which you can change the volume of the voice chat and the volume of the microphone.
  • Check the app’s microphone permissions: In order for the phone microphone to be used for voice chat, the app must have the appropriate access permissions.
  • Microphone closed? Depending on which cell phone you use, you might accidentally close the microphone in landscape mode.
  • Headset or microphone on headphones is defective. Headphone microphones tend to break over time. Does the microphone work in calls or in other apps?
