When focusing on the main objectives, Elden Ring typically requires around 60 hours, with 100% completion going well beyond 100 hours. But what about the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?
Although official details about its scope remain hidden, several factors suggest a playing time about a third of that of the original game, or 20 to 30 hours.
One notable factor is the considerable development time invested by From Software. While this is of course not a definitive measure of play time, the extended wait for this DLC – the longest in FromSoftware history – naturally raises our expectations.
Another clue comes from the file size of 60 GB, as noted in the Steam game’s system requirements. Considering the base game Elden Ring already takes up 60GB, having DLC of equal size seems pretty odd.
