Ghost of Tsushima: Find and farm iron

Where do you actually get that from? iron in Ghost of Tsushima? Where can you do that? Farm iron or buy? One or two players who play the new open-world action adventure from Sucker Punch Productions might ask something similar. In the new Ghost of Tsushima, the katana plays an important role and you can improve and upgrade the weapon(s) over the course of the game at a weapon or swordsmith. The weapon upgrades are of course not completely free and you need different materials. The necessary materials include not only supplies and steel, but also gold and iron.

Ghost of Tsushima: Where to find the iron?

There are different ways to get the iron. You can often find the iron on the smaller enemy outposts (recognizable by the red dot on the map). Both in the smaller as well as in the larger Mongolian camps can be found in huts, houses, around campfires and in the chests always iron. You can quickly recognize the iron on the floor because it keeps lighting up slightly.

In the game world you will also find some traders and trappers where you can buy or exchange iron. By the way, the trappers always only have a limited dealer inventory and sometimes don’t offer any iron at all.

Farm iron

If you want to farm iron quickly in Ghost of Tsushima, you can currently use a little trick. As mentioned above, iron can often be found in chests and a few days ago a “trick” was discovered with which you can quickly farm iron as well as other materials such as steel and supplies.

  1. The first thing you need to do is teleport to the Travel Recreation Inn (unlocked early in the game).
  2. If you fast travel to the inn, you have to cross the bridge and go into the big house on the right.
  3. Directly in the entrance area in front of the wooden ladder you will find a chest in which you can find various materials such as steel, supplies but also iron.
  4. Once you have opened the chest, press the Options key once, go to the “Options” tab and select “Restart from the last checkpoint”.
  5. The save then reloads and you end up right in front of the chest, which you can open again.

You can also exchange supplies for iron at some merchants.

You can currently farm supplies, steel and iron very quickly using this “trick” (or glitch?). By the way, we didn’t find out the trick ourselves, but discovered it in the linked YouTube video.
