Sims 4: Change and copy wall color

If you’ve just downloaded The Sims 4 and built a house, you might want to look for the wall color setting in construction mode. How to change wall color in Sims 4? Can you “copy” the color of the wall and apply it to an entire room? If you are currently asking yourself the same question in the game, this short guide may be able to help you.

Change and select wall color

If you have built a new house on a piece of land in The Sims 4, then you should of course first start with the foundation of the house and the walls of the individual rooms. Once you have built the house and roughly divided the rooms, then comes the interior design and here, in addition to furniture, you also have to put wallpaper on the walls. Similar to the floor, the question that often arises is where can you actually set the wall color? Where can you choose the wallpaper and what other options are there for designing the walls?

You can also set the wall color using the build mode and change it at any time (assuming you have the necessary change in the form of Simoleons).

  1. In the game, open construction mode at the top right using the hammer and wrench icon or using the F2 key on the keyboard.
  2. At the bottom left under the “Build” category you can see a house from which you can select various objects for the house and other objects. To select the wallpaper, or more precisely the wall pattern, you have to click on the small square with the wallpaper detached at the corner (see screenshot).
  3. On the right side, various “wall patterns” such as wallpaper, tiles but also masonry, rock and stone as well as other cladding in different colors for the outside wall of the house are now displayed.
  4. If you have decided on a wall pattern, you can set a different color using the color palette on the left and attach the wall pattern to the wall.

Copy wall color and change for entire room

Once you have chosen a wall color such as wallpaper, you can apply it to the individual pieces of wall. To save yourself the tedious work, you can wallpaper the entire room with the selected wall pattern by simply holding down the shift key. If you hold down the Shift key, the pattern and wall color will be applied to the entire room.

Since the number of wall patterns is quite large, you can also “copy” the pattern that has already been attached by selecting the eyedropper in the menu bar at the top and then clicking on the wall pattern.
