Sims 4: Move multiple objects at once

If you spend a little time with the construction mode in The Sims 4, sooner or later you might ask yourself how you can select several objects at the same time. Is there a keyboard shortcut that allows you to move and mark multiple objects at the same time in Sims 4? If so, which key do you need to press or hold to select multiple objects?

The Sims 4: Mark and move multiple objects?

Normally in many games (similar to Windows) you can simply hold down the Shift key and then use the left mouse button to select several objects at the same time. As long as you hold the objects with the left mouse button pressed, they can usually be moved. But contrary to what was initially thought, unfortunately this is not possible in The Sims 4. With “onboard tools” in Sims 4 you cannot simply hold down the shift key or another key on the keyboard and then select several objects.

Move an entire room instead of several objects individually

The only thing you can currently do in Sims 4 is move the room in which the items are located. If you move an entire room in construction mode, all items in it will automatically be moved to the new position. It is currently not possible to manually mark several items that you would like to move. However, if you hold down the shift key in build mode in The Sims 4, you can place and build multiple objects at the same time. The latter is particularly useful if, for example, you want to plant bushes in the garden or simply place many objects at once without always having to click on them individually in construction mode and then place them on the property.

Is there now a way or a key combination that allows you to mark several objects in the Sims 4 and then move them at the same time? If something has changed here with an update or an expansion, we would be happy to receive a brief note in the comments section under this article.
