Last Epoch is showered with bad reviews on Steam and its defenders accuse players of review bombing

Last Epoch was released relatively recently… if we leave out of the equation all the time it spent in early access, of course. The fact is that it has entered through the front door and has caught the attention of many players, although many of them have encountered an unexpected problem: connection errors. This being an issue that cannot be solved by hiring more rental servers because this does not really solve anything, it has caused a deep debate on networks.

The fact is that Last Epoch is having significant setbacks when accessing it, generating long waiting lines, among other things. This is why many users are rating it negatively on Steam. When we review the general reviews, we see that it has 71% positive ratings. Nevertheless, those of the last 30 days barely reach 61%… and continue to fall.

The Last Epoch thing is not

There are those who say that the community is paying for it with the study, by doing . As reported by mein-mmo, some content creators and players have defended the game, asking that they not do explaining that it is one of the “best games of recent years” and that it has been developed by “a small team”, so it does not deserve it. This was stated by Maurice Weber, former editor of SamaGame and .

However, people have been quick to respond, since they do not consider that they are being bombed unfairly. Among the most repeated arguments we find those that justify their negative votes with connection problems. “I would like to be able to give a positive review about this game, because I find it entertaining and quite complete, but today it is almost impossible to play it due to the instability of the servers“, we read in one of their Steam reviews.

Putting this on the table, I don’t consider Last Epoch to be suffering. Normally, we understand this as a batch of bad reviews, unjustified and generated by pure hatred, to squander the evaluation of a game without compelling reasons. However, in this case, the community is complaining about something very realthis being the reason why I discard the aforementioned concept and understand the criticism.
