How To Complete The Belly Of The Beast Event In Goat Simulator 3

Goat Simulator 3 has many open in-game events that you can score and complete. However, the game also features a few secret events. These events will only be reported to you when you physically travel with your goat to these locations. One of the secret events is the Belly Of The Beast.

To access the Secret Event, you need to go to the Goat Tower in Goatenburg. After reaching the tower, start moving east. You will reach the shore. Follow the map below to find the exact location of the event.

Once on the shore, head for the buoy. It is easily recognizable from a distance thanks to the light. You will see a whale approaching and engulfing you after reaching the buoy.

How to Get Out of the Whale in Goat Simulator 3

The event begins after the whale has swallowed you whole. Once inside the whale’s mouth, you will notice a small community inside. The whale’s mouth has a few broken and half-submerged houses, shipwrecks, and people dancing. There is a whole atmosphere inside. Your job is to get out of the whale’s mouth.

Your objective is to hit the whale’s dangling bell-shaped flap. You will notice that there are various bouncy surfaces in its mouth. Although you can use many combinations to bounce high, we’ll go with the simplest one here. Please refer to the image above as you read the steps.

  • Jump from the house onto the yellow inflatable boat and then onto the yellow container trap ahead. While in the air, head for the whale flap and hit it. Try to headbutt when in contact with the flap.
  • If you manage to hit the shutter, it will sway a bit and the whale will make a whimpering sound.
  • Repeat the steps three to four times.
  • The whale will get fed up with you and spit you out, marking the end of the event.

Samsung OLED S95D, first impressions: this flagship TV for 2024 is much more than a brightness beast

The OLED S95C model launched by Samsung in 2023 is one of the best televisions with an organic panel that we can currently buy. During our in-depth analysis we verified that the second generation QD-OLED matrix that it proposes performs significantly better than its predecessor by resolving colorimetry and giving us brightness. I have to admit that when I tried it I thought that Samsung was going to have a difficult time refining that panel, but it has done it.

This week we had the opportunity to participate in the event held by this South Korean company in Frankfurt (Germany), and there we were able to test the OLED S95D model, which is none other than the premium television that it is going to replace in the catalog of this brand for 2024 to last year’s S95C. Its organic panel is not the same as its predecessor. It is capable of dealing with a higher brightness output, and also works hand in hand with the NQ4 AI Gen 2 image processor, a more advanced chip than the S95C model because it is capable of dealing with a greater amount of neural networks.

Samsung continues to refine the QD-OLED panels of its premium televisions

A curious note before moving forward: the sound bar that we can see in some of the photographs that illustrate this article does not hide the lower part of the television. In fact, its natural position is not what appears in the images. A Samsung technician was carrying out some tests while we examined the S95D, so he was forced to place her in that position momentarily. It is not relevant at all because we did not do sound tests and it only hid a minimal portion of the lower part of the panel.

The S95D is capable of delivering, according to Samsung, 20% more brightness than its predecessor, the S95C model.

In 2024, Samsung will place in stores, in addition to the OLED S95D model that we are investigating, which will be its flagship television with an organic matrix, the S90D, and, finally, the S85D. They will be available from 48 to 83 inches. The S95D is capable of delivering, according to Samsung, 20% more brightness than its predecessor, the S95C model, which on paper places it in the orbit of 3,000 nits when measuring this parameter in a portion that occupies 10%. of the panel. During this contact we were able to compare the S95C and the S95D head to head, and yes, the latter is capable of delivering more light.

However, it is unlikely that when the S95D hits stores it will do so delivering the promised 3,000 nits. The most reasonable thing is that Samsung decides to moderate its brightness delivery to minimize the possibility of long-term image retention on the panel. In any case, as we have just seen, when comparing the S95C and the S95D head to head and with the same incoming video signal, it is evident that the latter is brighter. It’s also worth noting that the way they render color is slightly different, probably due to the S95D’s calibration being a little more refined. We will check it out as soon as we have a chance to analyze it in depth.

We took the following photograph during one of the most interesting tests that we were able to carry out during this contact. Samsung engineers have developed a new anti-reflective coating for the S95D that is objectively much more effective at inhibiting reflections than that of the S95C. The surprising thing is that the anti-reflective coverage of this latest television is very good, which has caused us to be very pleasantly surprised. This coverage probably slightly reduces the contrast ratio of the S95D, but, a priori, it does not reduce its sharpness from a subjective point of view.

We have been left wanting to delve deeper into the image quality offered by the new S95D, but you can be sure that we will do so as soon as we have the opportunity to analyze it in our own facilities. On the other hand, when it comes to the design and finish of the television It barely differs from the S95C of 2023, which does not seem like a problem to us at all. It is a quite stylized device that has very moderate frames, a finish at the level that we can demand from a premium television and a striking design. Nothing to object in this area.

As in the S95C model, the Slim One Connect module is responsible for resolving the connectivity of the television in the new S95D. I have not yet been able to confirm whether it is identical to last year’s review, although I suspect it is. In any case, it offers four HDMI inputs that implement the complete 2.1 standard. All premium televisions should offer us this feature, but, unfortunately, this is not the case. On the other hand, as we can see in the following detailed photograph, we can install this module either on the furniture in which we have placed the television or attached directly to the central base if we prefer that it not be visible and not take up additional space.

The taste that this television with organic panel has left in my mouth during this first contact is positive. It is still early to reach definitive conclusions about its image quality, its sound or its performance with video games, but a priori it seems to be at least at the same level as last year’s equivalent model. We will check it when we have the opportunity to analyze it in depth at our facilities. Despite everything, it is not perfect. And Samsung is once again going to place a decidedly premium television in stores that cannot prioritize Dolby Vision content. It is a pity.

Medion Erazer Beast X40, review. A liquid-cooled laptop they call “The Beast”, and I understand why

The world of laptops is far from being uninnovative. Although sometimes it seems that there is no room for avant-garde design, there are ideas as extravagant as creating a laptop designed to be enjoyed with liquid cooling. No, I was not wrong in using “beast” to describe the protagonist of this article, the Medion Erazer Beast X40a true gem from the world of wearable technology that I have had the pleasure of testing for a month.

At first glance you may think “this PC has nothing special”, but I want to highlight that the German company has decided to go for a classic and no-show style (just the way I like it), with a mechanical keyboard that is a pleasure for users. ears. Of course, we are not talking about a cheap product, nothing less than 3,799 euros. However, if you are looking for the best on the market and a laptop that will last for years, this beast is the one for you.

My impressions of the Medion Erazer Beast X40

A stylish laptop with a mechanical keyboard

When I tell you that Bavarians are committed to sobriety, I say it with reason. The Medion Erazer Beast X40 boasts a simple chassis that combines plastic and aluminum, and also has a non-slip texture on the keyboard section that is very pleasant to the touch; ideal for those of us who spend hours typing or playing games. Added to this is a keyboard Cherry MX mechanic low profile with a sensation simply sensational to the touch and a sound a little high, but pleasant.

Do you remember the classic sound of keyboards from 20 years ago? Well, it’s exactly that sound. I’ve read a few user complaints about this type of keyboard, but in the time I’ve been using it, I haven’t had any problems. In fact, I usually play with an external keyboard connected, but with the Medion Erazer I have done just the opposite. The key travel is good and the feel is just what I expected. Of course, don’t expect it to be the same as an independent keyboard. But to give you an idea, it is better that my personal keyboard Logitech Pro X TKL.

Design-wise, the rest of the PC is exactly what one would expect from a premium device. However, you have to give the Germans credit for two things: a very interesting and good touchpad design, and a clever arrangement of the input connectors. First of all, the touch pad is big, but the most notable thing is that in its upper right and left corners there are two small dots that light up. The right point turns off half the pad, and the left point turns it off completely. Don’t worry about these two functions being activated by surprise; They are not very sensitive, which I appreciate, and they need some time to activate.

Secondly, the distribution of inputs on a PC like this (with no less than two ports USB 3.2a USB 3.2 second generation, Thunderbolt 4slot for SD card, 3.5 audio jackoutput of HDMI 2.1 videopower connector, Ethernet port) is super important. On the back, away from the rest, we have the last mentioned trio, leaving the remaining six connections on both sides of the laptop and allowing more pronounced air slots.

Vibrant screen, but no HDR

A high-end device like this needed an equally good and large screen. We are talking about a laptop with no less than 38 centimeters from corner to corner and more than two and a half kilos in weight. Thanks to this generous size, the German team has been able to include an IPS panel of no less than 17 incheswith a resolution WQXGA either 2,560×1,600 and a refresh rate of 240Hz. The curious thing is that the screen has a 16:10 format, halfway between the more classic 17.5-inch 16:9 formats and the more modern 18-inch ones.

In this case, we are looking at a screen with a pixel density high, of no less than 177.5 dpi, enough to obtain maximum performance in games and multimedia content. However, it presents certain “problems” such as a rather poor reproduction of blacks due to its low contrast. This generates slightly grayer images in night sequences, which may bother more than one player. I include myself.

As I already mentioned, does not have HDR despite having a maximum brightness that is not inconsiderable for a portable panel of 417 cd/m2 (I have found independent panels with a lower value in this regard). However, in exchange for this lack, we obtain a panel compatible with Nvidia G-Sync.

The performance of the Medion Erazer Beast X40

As for performance, little else can be added that is not excellent. We have in our hands a PC with a NVIDIA RTX 4090Intel Raptor Lake i9-13900HX and 32GB DDR5 RAM; a real monster. But still, I want to comment on some interesting aspects.

In terms of raw performance, for those interested, the X40 no need DLSS to function for above 60 FPS in almost no game. Remember that we are facing the latest of the latest, capable of facing even Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing. CD Projekt’s RPG, for example, reaches 90 FPS with maximum Ray Tracing (for Route Tracing we need DLSS quality if we want to reach 60 FPS), Palworld reaches 120 FPS at maximum, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla enjoy 140 FPS at maximum; and The Last of Us Part 1, despite its problems, exceeds 100 FPS.

In more demanding games like Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing it is another story, but not because of the X40. He TDP of the RTX 4090, although high (175W), implies that the GPU can go to a certain point to get all the possible performance out of it. The one from Remedy Entertainment needs DLSS to exceed 70 FPS, and the same goes for the RPG. You can configure both technologies in Quality, and you will have no problems.

Apart from this, something that was more than obvious considering what we had in hand, we found a MUX switch which prevents the integrated Intel Iris XE graphics from taking over the dedicated GPU. It is even optimized with the Nvidia Advanced Optimus, which eliminates the need to reboot the system to switch between GPU configurations. It is not something that many users are going to take advantage of on a daily basis, but it is true that they are two very useful features, especially for those who want to play with the integrated graphics in low-power games without having to see how the RTX 4090 devours the battery.

Liquid cooling, an extra that you can ignore

I want to end with a section dedicated to liquid cooling by mentioning one thing: this extra is unconventional, very good, but impractical. We are talking about an additional cooling kit that sells for 401 euros and that, honestly, it is not a prevailing need. According to the tests carried out, improvement he performance in a 6%since we managed to reduce temperatures significantly.

The kit connects to the rear with two anchors prepared for it, and allows us reduce the temperature between 15 and 20 degrees, reaching around 74 degrees in the processor at full capacity. Of course, it should be noted that if we reduce the temperature of the processor, although it will not be so significant, the GPU will be less affected and we will reach around 60 degrees for the RTX 4090.

This is the rear connection with the water outlet and inlet

However, it is not something that the average user is going to carry around with them. It is for the true enthusiast who wants the most advanced experience. And we are talking about a device almost two extra kilos, with its own wiring, which creates a curious swarm of cables; and without forgetting its size, with a height of 16 centimeters (similar to that of a power supply).

Is Medion’s X40 worth it?

When I come across a PC like this I always ask myself, is it really worth it? The “Beast” is not called that on Medion’s whim, it faithfully reflects what the company has achieved with this PC. It’s worth it? I could certainly live with it exclusively, without needing a tower like the one I have now, for three or four more years, and I might even fall short. Of course, we must keep in mind that we are talking about a heavy, large PC and not suitable for all budgets. It is prepared for anything, but despite that, there are aspects such as the screen that are not completely polished. It is a fantastic team, with very few buts. A PC that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
