Where to Find Benzene in Starfield – Location Guide

With so many resources to find and so many planets to explore, the hunt for specific materials could last a lifetime. Benzene can be a difficult resource to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for. As Starfield displays materials as elemental symbols in-game rather than as a full name, you should be aware that when searching for Benzene the required symbol is C6Hn. Benzene can be purchased from Sellers (Wen Tseng, Dietrich Sieghart and Manaaki Almonte) or found on planets (Niira, Volii Alpha, Tau Ceti II and more). Below we will see exactly where you can find this resource for crafting weapons and armor.

How to Extract Benzene

First, to travel to other solar systems in Starfield you will need to be able to Gravitational jump. Outside of missions, Grav Jumping can be performed on the navigation consoles inside the Pioneer. You must exit the planet and solar system you are viewing and find the planet you wish to land on to begin the Grav Jump process. To get Grav Power, turn off all power inside the ship’s functions using the D-pad or the “W”/”S” and place it in the GRV compartment.

Before landing on the planet, be sure to refer to the color of Benzene (C6Hn), the biome to find it on, and what it will appear when you open the scanner on the surface of the planet. All this information will allow you to quickly locate the Benzene which will appear as the color of the material symbol with the Scanner used (“F” or “LB”). If you’ve never visited the planet before, everything will appear with a highlighted blue glow that will turn green once you’ve studied it enough. Benzene can appear green in color, but using the scanner interaction key (“A” – Xbox or “E”) you can set which resource you are looking at directly and if it is benzene you want to mine using the Cutter.
