In addition to the main quests and side quests, Hogwarts Legacy also has a few other activities that you can gradually complete. The activities include, among other things, the challenges that you unlock early in the game. After receiving the Field Manual from Professor Weasley, you can open the “Challenges” menu. The challenges are divided into five different categories. If you look at the available challenges, you will also find some “Locked Challenges”. The question arises, how can you unlock the locked challenge?
Challenges in Hogwarts Legacy
The challenges in Hogwarts Legacy are divided into five different categories and these include:
- Combat (Face dangerous opponents and learn how to defend yourself against them)
- Quests (Complete quests to advance the story)
- Exploration (Explore the world and discover its secrets)
- Manual Pages (Discover manual pages throughout the game world)
- Room of Requirement (Improve your skills in the Room of Requirement)
In the combat challenges, for example, you have to kill certain enemies such as a black magician, while in the exploration challenges you have to complete Merlin’s trials or pop the balloons in the game world. After completing the challenge, you can collect a reward. You have to collect and “unlock” the rewards manually in order to receive them.
Unlock locked challenges
Among the challenges you will also find some locked challenges. To unlock these challenges, you simply have to follow the story and continue exploring the game world. For example, the “Burst Balloons” challenge mentioned above is only unlocked once you have burst a balloon in the game world. This task is also part of “Madam Kogawa’s Task 1”. Most challenges are part of a main quest or side quests, so simply progressing through the story will gradually unlock all locked challenges.
