The latest Halo MCC update fixed many issues. All ?



Since its launch, Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s matchmaking has been a disaster. The patch two weeks ago was supposed to fix the problem but didn’t. Was the one last Thursday successful? Not so sure.

The 523MB patch is supposed to fix “a number of matchmaking issues, several interface and group bugs, and also improve general stability,” according to Halo Waypoint. SamaGame says they’re still working on the game while other patches are in the works, not to mention their comment that they were going to “do it right” for fans. However, many users still complain about not being able to play online properly.

On Neogaf, Forerunner shares its experience

It’s playable, much better than at launch. I found games in 30 seconds. However the biggest problem for me are the teams. They are always unbalanced and players leave in the middle of the game.

I can’t wait for the game to be fixed! Seriously I really want to play but unbalanced teams are unbearable for me.

So it seems that although it is now possible to find games, it is not uncommon to find yourself in a situation with two players against five. Although it is not impossible to get by with talent, we imagine that for many the situation is more than inappropriate.

Three weeks after its release Halo: The Master Chief Collection is therefore not fully functional, a situation which is reminiscent of the setbacks of Driveclub on the competing console. The need to release system sellers before the famous holidays seems to take precedence over that of releasing perfectly functional games, and we can only deplore this evolution of the industry.
