Stable OxygenOS 13 update based on Android 13 is now available for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The brand itself recently announced it on its community forum. Separately, OnePlus says it will first roll out the stable update to users who are already on the beta. Subsequently, other users will in turn receive the update. Additionally, users in India, Europe and North America will be the first to experience the benefits of the new Android 13 OS.

What does OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 have in store for you?

The update of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro to the stable version of OxygenOS 13 brings important changes. First, you can benefit from Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, Aquamorphic Design and Shadow Reflection Clock. Next, you’ll have UI layers with better optimizations and a system icon overhaul. Additionally, the update brings modified widgets, a new meeting assistant, a side toolbox. As far as features are concerned, on the one hand you will have an improvement in screencast and Emojis. On the other hand, you will benefit from the functions Always-On DisplayHyperBoost GPA 4.0 and other security features.

The stable update follows the open beta version and irons out the various bugs found. However, we recommend that you wait for some reviews on the new firmware before upgrading from Android 12 to Android 13. In addition, OnePlus has indicated some guidelines to follow before making the switch. So you have to keep battery percentage above 30% and have at least 5.5 GB of available memory. Also, OnePlus recommends taking a full backup of your mobile before installing OxygenOS 13. This is because it is a major OS upgrade and it might wipe your device.
