Fae Farm: Warming potion against frost in the icy plateau


Anyone who has recently plunged into the adventure of the new cozy game Fae Farm will probably have already explored the various areas. If you walk from the property towards the northwest, you will reach the icy plateau. As the name of the area suggests, it is very cold in the icy plateau and if you stay in the frost for too long, the character will become unconscious and be teleported back. The question arises, what can you do against the frost on the icy plateau?

Frost on the icy plateau

In order to explore the icy plateaus and protect yourself from the frost, you need a warming potion. The warming potion is available in both a small and a larger version and to prepare it you need pieces of shell and the spore essence.

  • Shell pieces: You can get the shell pieces in the glass house for lowland animals. You can place different animals in the glass house and use them to obtain materials such as the shell pieces. The pieces of the shells can be obtained from, among other things, snails such as the spotted snail or the crabs that can be found on the beaches.
  • Spore Essence: The Spore Essence can be obtained from the Floating Ruins. Between level 7 and level 24, bushes grow that are sporeweed. The spore herb can be mined with the sickle and then processed into the spore essence at a station for potion ingredients.

Prepare warming potion

With the two ingredients you can now go to a brewing kettle for potions and prepare the warming potion from 2x shell pieces and 2x spore essences. The small potion only protects against freezing for a short time, the large potion offers slightly longer protection.

Fae Farm warm animals: A warming round


Where can you find the warm animals in Fae Farm? After fighting your way through the 25 levels of the Burning Cave and completing Flammo’s quest “A Spicy Encounter”, the quest “Fiery Volcano Exchange” automatically starts, in which you face off with Flammo the next day and after the Mother of Forest Lights cutscene Have to meet for a chat. After talking to the Mother of the Forest Lights, the quest “A Warming Round” starts and you have to get four warming animals. Here one or two players will probably ask themselves, what are the warming animals and where can you find them?

Find warm animals

The warm animals include, among others, the ash lumps. The Cinder Chunks are ash creatures that are brought to life by magic in the summer. The ash creatures can be found both in front of the entrance to the burn caves and in the northern part of the icy plateau, just before the bridge leading to Igni and the burn caves. The cinder blocks are quite shy creatures, so you should sneak up on them. An improved net or landing net is of course an advantage here. In other seasons you can also find other “warming animals” here that can also be caught for the quest. The names of the animals will follow here shortly.

With the four warm animals we then go back to the mother of the forest lights and the “A warming round” quest is successfully completed. Then you continue directly with the quest “Stop the Heat Wave”, where you should talk to Igni. As mentioned, Igni is on the way to the burn cave just before the entrance.
