Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos Taming sheep (and other animals)

How to tame the wild sheep in Zimagrad? How do you even tame an animal in the new Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos? One or two players of the new Harvest Moon offshoot who have encountered wild animals in the game world and now want to tame them will perhaps be concerned with these questions. Not only can you tame horses, but you also have to tame a sheep and then shear it as part of the “Tame the Wild Sheep” quest in Zimagrad. In this short guide we’ll show you how to tame animals in Harvest Moon TwoA.

Taming animals in Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos

In order to tame the animals, you first have to approach the animal carefully. As soon as the animal spots you and a red exclamation mark is displayed, you have to wait a moment and then continue running towards the animal. If you run towards the animal too quickly, it will flee and only come back the next day. If you stand close enough to the animal, you can pet it and above its head you will see a bar with several clef symbols that slowly fills up. The bar is the friendship bar, where you can see the affection you have for the animal. To tame it now, you have to visit the animal regularly and pet it. In addition, you should also give the animal something to eat, which also has a positive effect on affection. You can pet and feed the animal once per day.

This process is repeated for a few days until the affection has filled eight of the note symbols and the animal is tamed. As part of the quest with the sheep in Zimagrad, you can now give the Valais sheep a name and take it home with you. Then the good Lina gets in touch and can shear the sheep and thus complete the quest. As mentioned, you can also tame other animals such as horses in the same way.

Tip: This is how you can improve your tools and permanently increase your stamina in Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos.

Sell animals?

Contrary to what you know from other farming games and also some Harvest Moon games, you cannot sell the animals. If you open the “animal book” with the animal inventory in the stable, you will see all the animals, but you can only “let go” of them. By the way, this applies to purchased animals as well as to bred and tamed animals.

Fae Farm warm animals: A warming round

Where can you find the warm animals in Fae Farm? After fighting your way through the 25 levels of the Burning Cave and completing Flammo’s quest “A Spicy Encounter”, the quest “Fiery Volcano Exchange” automatically starts, in which you face off with Flammo the next day and after the Mother of Forest Lights cutscene Have to meet for a chat. After talking to the Mother of the Forest Lights, the quest “A Warming Round” starts and you have to get four warming animals. Here one or two players will probably ask themselves, what are the warming animals and where can you find them?

Find warm animals

The warm animals include, among others, the ash lumps. The Cinder Chunks are ash creatures that are brought to life by magic in the summer. The ash creatures can be found both in front of the entrance to the burn caves and in the northern part of the icy plateau, just before the bridge leading to Igni and the burn caves. The cinder blocks are quite shy creatures, so you should sneak up on them. An improved net or landing net is of course an advantage here. In other seasons you can also find other “warming animals” here that can also be caught for the quest. The names of the animals will follow here shortly.

With the four warm animals we then go back to the mother of the forest lights and the “A warming round” quest is successfully completed. Then you continue directly with the quest “Stop the Heat Wave”, where you should talk to Igni. As mentioned, Igni is on the way to the burn cave just before the entrance.

Tip: This is how you can unlock and plant the fruit trees in Fae Farm.
