Very bad news for those who want to buy the best iPhone 15

And here we go again! After the iPhone 14, it is, quite naturally, the iPhone 15 which will arrive all over the world next September. The exact date is not known, nor that of the presentation, even if rumors suggest Wednesday September 5 or 12, which would lead to customer availability on Friday September 15 or 22. While waiting for Apple to confirm the schedule at the end of August, rumors are rife.

According to informed specialists, all iPhone 15s should now benefit from a photo module with a 48 megapixel main sensor (compared to 12 currently for the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus). The “back and forth” button that cuts and restarts the sound would disappear to make way for a pressure button to control the volume. This would provide space on the left edge of the smartphone (when looking at the screen) and Apple would take advantage of this to refine the whole thing. In terms of design, few changes are expected, except for this “sound” button, even if some high-tech observers are betting on the arrival of Dynamic Island on all iPhone 15s. This would mean that the notch located at the top of the OLED screen would be noticeably reduced. A good thing. Finally, the Lightning charging port would be replaced by a USB-Type C port.

An iPhone 15 for 2000 euros?

Would all these small improvements lead to an increase in price? Yes, most definitely. Those who follow high-tech closely, we are talking about industry professionals, assure that the iPhone 15 will cost more than the iPhone 14. In the United States, we are talking about an increase of 100 at 200 dollars depending on the model. Will this spill over into European markets? Most certainly, again. And especially on the Pro models, the best iPhone 15.

According to SamaGame, the iPhone 15 Pro Max would be offered a new exclusive periscopic zoom, it would therefore have the most advanced photo module in the range. Concretely, while the front optical zoom is currently 3x on the Pro models, we would move to a 6x zoom, with significantly improved image quality. Something to delight photo and iPhone fans. Except that prices should therefore increase compared to last year. The iPhone 14 Pro is available from 1329 euros, the iPhone 14 Pro Max from 1479 euros. If we follow the logic of the rumors distilled here and there for weeks, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could therefore be worth more than 1,500 euros, for the cheapest version, with 128 GB of storage. And even if Apple may move directly to 256 GB of storage for its iPhone 15, the smartphone with 512 GB would cost around 2000 euros (compared to 1869 euros today for the iPhone 14 Pro Max). As for the 1 TB version, which costs 2129 euros on the current most high-end smartphone, we’ll let you imagine.
