What Remains of Edith Finch releases almost all its content so you can create your own video game using its environments and textures

One of the most acclaimed and acclaimed indie titles by both specialized critics and the public has been What Remains of Edith Finch, the work developed by Giant Sparrow and edited by Annapurna Interactive.

2017 saw the light of a peculiar game, whose strong commitment to the narrative load had an effect. Now, anyone who wants to use the environments, textures or modeling of the video game will be able to do so, since a massive package of this content is available to be used for free with Unreal Engine.

Has it occurred to you to create a game of Unreal Tournament in Edith’s living room? As far-fetched as it may seem, now it is possible. A post on the Unreal Engine blog details that more than 3,000 3D models can be downloaded, completely textured and configured with your materials.

It is not the first time that we have had an opportunity like this. Three years ago, Epic already released all of Paragon’s assets, which were valued at a total of $ 12 million. Infinity Blade, a mobile title from Epic, also released its content for free at the time.

This type of news is really positive for all those who are taking their first steps in video game design or who simply want to enjoy what Giant Sparrow has created. The entire What Remains of Edith Finch content pack is free to download on the Unreal Engine marketplace.
