Until the publication of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth It’s still more than two weeks away, but spoilers seem to have already leaked on TikTok, Reddit and Twitter.
As Kotaku reports, the leaks include screenshots, video clips and key plot details. The authenticity of these cannot be confirmed – but you are of course still advised to mute the corresponding keywords or to avoid the corresponding corners on the platforms in question if you want to avoid spoilers.
It is unclear who exactly is behind the leaks. It’s quite possible that some players were able to purchase copies of the game early on, but it wouldn’t be the first time.
Nomura is nervous
Creative director Tetsuya Nomura said just last week that he was nervous about the reaction to the game’s ending. The iconic key scene in the Forgotten City is known to represent the conclusion of “Rebirth”. But in what form remains to be seen – after all, the team is using the new remake trilogy to adapt the story. And the best way to find out what they look like is on your own. You don’t have to be patient much longer.
