As Square Enix announces, they will be releasing the official original soundtrack Final Fantasy VII Rebirth release in Japan on April 10, 2024. Also included is the new theme song “No Promises to Keep (short ver.)” by Nobuo Uematsu.
The physical version of the album comes in two versions. The normal edition contains seven CDs and is available at a price of 64.99 euros. A “Special Edit Version” features a bonus disc with music from mini-games. The first edition of the special edit version is only produced in limited quantities and costs 74.99 euros.
You can already pre-order both soundtracks in the German Square Enix Store. This is a Japanese import. Alternatively, you can also find the “Special Edit Ver.” at Play-Asia*.
If you can’t wait – or are vinyl fans – there is fortunately an alternative. A soundtrack selection on vinyl will be released in Japan on January 31st and will also be delivered to Germany from the Square Enix Store in February.
If you don’t want to spend any money, you can listen to some pieces from the original work on the YouTube channel. Square Enix is currently adding these to a playlist every few days, which you can find here.

Square Enix will be hosting a stage show tomorrow, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 6 a.m. German time Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as part of the Taipei Game Show.
Co-Director Motomu Toriyama and Battle Director Teruki Endo will be present and lead through the program. Yoshinori Kitase and Naoki Hamaguchi are currently on a media tour through the rest of the world.
Interesting: The Japanese FF7 account on Twitter advertises for the live stream. The 50-minute stage show will be broadcast live! fans are not unreasonably hoping for new insights into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Some are even hoping that Square Enix will announce the playable demo they hope will be released. Still others believe that Square Enix is saving this announcement for FF7’s birthday on January 31, 2024.
You can watch the live stream tomorrow morning on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel. That’s right, Bandai Namco. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is being presented in Taipei at the Bandai Namco stand, right next to Tekken 8. Not only Katsuhiro Harada was amazed.

Cloud and Tifa? Cloud and Aerith? Or Aerith and Tifa? Voice actor Cody Christian, who plays Cloud in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth plays, is not very enthusiastic about “shipping”. He believes that “shippers” who “overtly ___ualize any relationship can ruin the development of a great story.”
Christian commented via Twitter, following the latest Rebirth trailer shared by Square Enix. Longtime fans of the original (as well as the remake) have many opinions about who should be Cloud’s love interest in the love triangle between Tifa and Aerith, which has sparked many heated debates online.
Toxic fans threaten to ruin history
“’Shippers’ fails at the idea that one character can have meaningful relationships with MULTIPLE characters. That ensures comprehensive depth,” says Christian. “The need to overtly ___ualize any relationship can ruin the development of a great story.”
While the relationships between Cloud, Tifa and Aerith could be interpreted as platonic, the subtext of “who will he choose?” certainly appealed to many players – although the discourse around choices often veers into toxicity. However, Christian developed a thick skin after gaining fame on Teen Wolf, which prepared him for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
“The majority of people wanted me fired and replaced without ever hearing me speak,” he says. “To do what we did and make it successful and mean so much to the core audience, I’m not afraid of Rebirth.”

If you Final Fantasy VII Rebirth If you wanted to play, you either had to visit the Tokyo Game Show or be part of selected press. Unfortunately, Gamescom missed the demo for the second part of the remake trilogy. As we previously reported, the playable demo will also be on display at a Square Enix community gathering next weekend.

You may remember the low-poly characters from Final Fantasy VII Remake. If not, Square Enix released a set of polygon figures in 2020 that are literally just that.
They’re based on the polygon models from the original Final Fantasy VII. That’s charming, some might say. That’s really ugly, many others. Either way: These things are sold out.
Additional supplies are available in the form of additional figures. At the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix exhibited Cait Sith, Cid, Yuffie, Rufus, Tseng and Rude, as well as a Shinra guardsman and the save point. The save point was placed next to Yuffie. Fans of the original might smile.
Square Enix also presented a pack of the first figures released in 2020. Some people are probably hoping for a resupply of the figures that are out of stock today. But nothing has been announced yet.
In today’s live stream Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Fans were briefly delighted: the Mog house was briefly visible! The creators showed a gameplay presentation and were on their way to Kalm when the Mog house suddenly appeared in front of them. No time for that, you joked and continued walking.
However, they came back to it later. In the original, the Mog House was nothing more than a mini-game in Gold Saucer. In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth you will obviously encounter it in the wide world. Various Moogles seem to live there and as the creators later reveal, there is also another mini-game waiting for you there.

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth you will probably ride chocobos a few times. And if Red XIII is on the team, then Red XIII also rides a chocobo. We’ve known this since the current trailer and it’s also possible in the TGS demo. Some fans find this funny, but some also find it quite strange.
