It’s very useful and it’s great to have it by your side, and it’s definitely something you’ll definitely want to add to your Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experience as soon as it becomes available. If you don’t know how and where to find it, read our guide.

How to bring a wolf into battle in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

To gain access to the Wolf Companion, players must first complete the prologue to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in Norway and have established the “Ravensthorpe” colony in England. To start the side quest and unlock the wolf, talk to the kid named “Knud”Located just outside Eivor’s bedroom in the longhouse. Knud will say his friends are in danger after wandering through the woods and asks Eivor to follow him. After a long journey through the woods, Knud will eventually lead the player to a hunter’s house. Here, he reveals that his friends aren’t actually in danger and that the reason he brought Eivor there was to help his friends free a wolf they heard trapped inside the house.

After a bit of exploration, it will appear that the former owner of the Hunter’s House was eaten by a wild boar who then swallowed the key to the house. The boar is located in a field next to the house and will have a “key” icon displayed on it. After killing the boar, interact with the carcass to add the key to Eivor’s inventory.

Once inside the hunter’s house, head to the basement where the wolf is in a locked cage. The hunter’s diary next to the cage will reveal that the wolf’s former owner adopted him as a puppy and trained him as a hunting dog. Interact with the cage to open it and free the wolf which will then come out of the house and flee into the wild. It is important to note that the cage should be opened by interacting with it, not by breaking it with a weapon. If the cage is opened with a weapon, there is a chance that the wolf will take damage and trigger a bug that prevents further progress in the side quest.

Summon your wolf to attack your enemies

Once the wolf is freed, Eivor must now escort the children to Ravensthorpe before the quest is complete. Along the way, a pack of wolves will ambush the group and must be defeated before advancing. During the battle, the Hunter’s Wolf will appear and fight alongside Eivor. After defeating the wolves, the kids will ask Eivor for permission to keep the wolf in Ravensthorpe and allow the player to choose one of three names for the companion.

After naming the wolf, simply return to Ravensthorpe where you will unlock the “Man’s Best Friend” ability. In the Abilities menu, select “Mans Best Friend” from “Remote Abilities” and associate it with a specific entry. When in combat, Eivor is now able to use an adrenaline bar charge to summon the wolf and have him attack any enemy of his choice. Because the ability is used to send the wolf at an individual enemy, it is much more effective than the wolf targeting tougher enemies in combat at conserving adrenaline bars.

Additionally, you can also upgrade the ability by getting the Knowledge Book located at Grepelgate Fort in the Oxenefordscire area. When upgraded to level 2, the Wolf of Eivor will now attack multiple enemies during a fight.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla | Comment vaincre Fenrir Boss

Assassins Creed: Valhalla has plenty of formidable enemies to battle, but none are as intimidating as Boss Fenrir. This mythical beast can be quite difficult for players to deal with as it has a high power level as well as a set of mystical moves. Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to help you beat Fenrir without too much trouble.

How to beat Fenrir in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Fenrir in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a power level of 280. If you want to beat him, you first need to make sure you upgrade your weapons and armor to the proper level. After jumping into the boss fight Fenrir, pay attention to his attack patterns in order to find the right opportunity to strike back.

When the fight with Fenrir begins, you should see four yellow areas on each of the wolf’s paws. The best approach is to attack these areas from the side so that it is more difficult to take damage.

Soon Fenrir will attempt to hit you with his special attack by going underground. To avoid this attack, watch the path it takes, then move away from the path as it approaches you. Continue to stay close to the wolf and watch out for any other attacks while dodging and rolling. As the wolf tries to climb back up, start charging up whatever special attacks you have.

Keep doing this until you get a chance to bind the wolf. Once the prompt appears, rush over to Fenrir and press the button shown. This will cause you to wrap the leash around the wolf’s neck up to its front legs. The wolf will go underground and attempt to attack you again, starting the next wave of attacks.

Bind the mythical wolf

Fenrir will now try to attack you with a weapon. It will start to throw it at you and you will need to be on alert to avoid it. After that, he will try to throw the weapon at you. It will be in a boomerang type attack that revolves around the wolf. Avoid all of these attacks until he tries to attack you normally again.

Before long, the wolf will start a new attack. This attack will cause it to spin like a tornado, damaging you if you get too close. As with the weapon attack, keep your distance. Eventually, he’ll tire out a bit, giving you the chance to get a few more hits.

After a while, Fenrir will head to higher ground and try to throw things at you. Stay close to the wall under the wolf and shoot with your bow and arrows until it falls. Keep fighting until it gives you another option to bind him again. The wolf will then try to dive into you and attack you with previous attacks.

At this point, continue with the attack and dodge pattern until the wolf has his third and final binding option for you. If you remain patient and vigilant, you should have no problem defeating Fenrir for good. Once you’ve secured your victory, check out some of our other hot guides for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:
