American Truck Simulator PS4
SCS Software touched on a PS4 version of American Truck Simulator during an interview with Squirrel in 2018. Here’s what the studio had to say:
It would absolutely make sense to have a console version of the game. In fact, we discussed it with Microsoft and Sony. They approached us, they feel that it makes sense for them too. We have a bunch of dev kits in the business, so it’s not a lost cause.
It should be noted that a console version would probably have a lot less functionality than the PC version, as American Truck Simulator is very much designed for the PC. No PS4 version has ever materialized since the above interview, so it remains to be seen if that will ever happen.
Additionally, SCS Software has been building simulation games since 1997 and specializes in PC development.
