Reset Nuki Smart Lock

Your Nuki Smart Lock can be reset to the factory settings in two different ways. You can control it either via the device settings on the app or via the help menu. Please note that all your data will be irrevocably deleted if you reset your Nuki Smart Lock and have to set up your device again.

Reset via the device settings

  1. 1

First you go to the Nuki app installed on your smartphone and then click on “Manage my devices”.

  2. 2

Then go to the connected Nuki device and open the settings.

  3. 3

Here you select “Functions & Configurations”.

  4. 4

Then click on “Reset to factory settings”.

  5. 5

At the end you then follow the instructions that are displayed on the Nuki app.

Reset via the help menu

  1. 1

The first step is to open the help menu in your Nuki app, which you can find at the top left.

  2. 2

If you have not yet connected your Nuki devices to the app, the settings area in the Nuki app will look different.

  3. 3

As soon as you click on “Help” you will find a list of options. Here you go to “Reset” under “General”.

  4. 4

You then have to enable access to your location if you haven’t already done so.

  5. 5

You will then be given different areas where you can reset the factory settings. In this case, it says “Reset Smart Lock” at the top. Tap on it.

  6. 6

Ultimately, all you have to do is follow the instructions. You first have to remove your battery compartment and keep the button on the Smart Lock pressed even if you then reinsert the battery compartment. Do this until the upper circle segment on the Smart Lock lights up continuously.

  7. 7

After you’re done, just click “Next”. The Smart Lock is then searched for so that the factory settings can be reset.
