In Valheim you can catch, tame and breed various wild animals. The animals include wild boars as well as wolves and loxes. When it comes to taming animals, one or two players may ask themselves the question, what do deer and stags actually look like? Can you also tame and breed a deer in Valheim?
Valheim: How to tame deer?
The deer can be found in forests in Valheim and they will be spooked relatively quickly if you are too loud and get too close to them. To kill the deer you definitely need a bow and arrow. If you have successfully killed the deer, you will not only receive raw meat and deer skin, but also the deer trophies that you need, among other things, to summon the first boss opponent called Eikthyr. Alternatively, you can hang the deer trophies on the wall for decoration.
Anyone who has ever tried to tame a deer may have asked themselves, can’t you catch and tame deer or do you have to pay special attention? The short answer to the question is that you cannot currently tame deer in Valheim. The animals that can currently be tamed include wild boars, wolves and loxes.
Since Valheim was only officially released on Steam a few days ago and the developers have already promised numerous updates with new features, it will probably only be a matter of time before you can tame and breed a deer in Valheim. That said, I must admit that there are still many bugs related to this process. I’ve seen a lot of players complain about all sorts of misfortunes they’ve had while trying to raise their buddies. Let’s go ahead and see how breeding bugs in Palworld can be fixed!

Palworld breeding bugs fixed
Since there is no way to familiarize myself with all the issues Palworld players are experiencing, I’m going to reflect on the bugs I’ve noticed that are most commonly mentioned online, e.g. on Reddit Or Steam Community discussions.
Buddies will not breed when placed in the breeding farm
Many players have encountered this Pals problem simply I don’t want to reproduce in another way. Here are some solutions you can try to resolve:
Pick up your buddy multiple times and drop him off Different components of the Breeding Enclosure. Try dropping them off at entrancenext to edge of a fencenext to haystacketc. When you see the message “Assignment to Breeding Farm Corrected”, you have resolved it.
Buddies escape while eating and don’t reproduce
When breeding, the friends will eat the cake that you prepared and left in the chest connected to the breeding farm. However, sometimes they may just start go and come between the food and the center of the Breeding Farm where they reproduce.
When the feeding bug occurs, enter the breeding farm and manually feed them with something you have in your inventory. This should reset them, so to speak, and get them back on track.
Big friends won’t go to the breeding farm
Picking up a huge buddy and trying to drop it off at the breeding farm can cause its own glitches where the buddy doesn’t recognize it’s being dropped off there. The solution here is to simply try several times while trying to let the big guy down in a way where he’s facing the breeding farm.
If nothing else works – Reset!
If something doesn’t work, turn the thing off and on again Again. The good old universal patch also works for Palworld. If the fixes above don’t work or you encounter bugs and issues we haven’t mentioned, try this old technique and see what happens. You can’t lose anything by trying!
Some bugs were simply fixed by players reconstruction of the breeding farm. Others needed a game reset where you need to collect your breeding buddies, put them back in the Palboxrestart the game, then try to reproduce them again.
An additional solution that helps is to teleport to another area, wait there for a minute or two, then return to your base. If you notice that your breeding friends are going to work or perform another activity in the base, you can try building the breeding farm outside the base so that there are no distractions nearby.
All the fixes I described were helpful to someone, but since not everyone has the same bugs in the game, we can’t have all the fixes 100% working. But hello. Look on the bright side of things. Bugs are probably the symptom of the early release, and I expect most of them to be fixed with updates in the near future.
