EA FC 24 Disable injuries, offside and handball

Where can you find the offside and handball settings in the new EA Sports FC 24? How can you eliminate injuries and activate hand play? One or two players from the new FC24 may have been dealing with these questions in the last few days, annoyed by the constant injuries to the players or wondering why the referee doesn’t whistle for a clear handball. In this short guide we show where you can find and change the settings.

Set up handball, offside and injuries

In the new FC 24, injuries, as well as rules such as offside, are activated again by default. If you would like to change this, you can change this at any time in the settings under the “Rules” tab.

  1. In the main menu, open the Customize window using the gear symbol and then call up “Settings”.
  2. Under the “Game Settings” you will now find the “Rules” tab and all the options you are looking for are available to choose from here. These include injuries, offsides, cards, handball and the severity of the referees.
  3. Finally, set the rules the way you want them and the change will be applied. If you adopt the attitude and still have injured players on the team, then you still have to wait until they are “healed”. Changing the injury settings doesn’t seem to automatically make all players fit and ready to play straight away.

The setting is global, but you can also change the rules from game mode to game mode and from game state to game state. For example, in career mode you can create a game state with a coaching career where injuries are activated and another game state where players cannot get injured.

FIFA 23 Disable injuries, offside and handball

How can you deactivate or reactivate injuries and handball in FIFA 23? Where can you set offside and how can certain rules be switched off? One or two players of the new FIFA 23 may be concerned with these questions, for example if they want to activate the handball or deactivate the injuries. In this short guide we show where you can find the setting options.

Switch on and off offside, handball and injuries

As in the previous FIFA parts, in the new FIFA 23 you can activate and deactivate or set the injuries, offsides and handball as well as the cards and referee severity.

  1. Start FIFA 23 and open the settings in the main menu using the gear symbol.
  2. Go to “Game Settings” in Settings and go to the “Rules” tab.
  3. Here you can now switch the above-mentioned options such as offside, injuries or handball on and off.

The setting can be specified “globally” via the settings in the main menu as described above, or you can also set it separately for each game mode in individual game modes such as career. The same also applies to simple kick-off or normal friendly games with friends on a console in front of a screen or via the online seasons.

Stop injuries

If you have activated the injuries, you can also set the frequency of injuries. The setting can be set separately for the user (player) and the CPU (AI opponent). So if you want to play with activated injuries but don’t want to constantly replace injured players in a match, you should reduce the injury frequency a little. By default the value is 50.

Tip: This is how you can do an overhead kick from a standing position in FIFA 23.
