Today we are going to explain how to sign up and download the beta version of Spotify, both on Android and iOS. If you want to try out the new features and additions they are experimenting with in the app before making them public, Spotify lets you do so by joining their group of beta testers.
The idea of these betas is that some users can test the new versions of the app and report bugs before they are published. We are going to explain the steps you must follow to become part of these trial users whether you have an Android mobile or an iPhone. On Android you will also have an Alpha program, while on iPhone you will have to fight with the limit of 10,000 beta testers imposed by Apple.
Before launching, one thing you have to understand is that beta versions of an application are just that, trial versions, which means that they have not been debugged and you may run into bugs from time to time. Therefore, if you do not want an unstable version that may have more errors than the account, you’d better stick with the conventional version.
Sign up for the Spotify beta on Android
To sign up for the Spotify beta on Android, the first thing you have to do is join the Google group of Spotify beta testers. To do this, enter THIS ADDRESS, and on the website you are entering, when the dialogue message appears, click on the button Join this group to do it. It is an essential prerequisite.
Once you have associated your Google account to the group of beta testers, you now have to go to the Spotify testers page on Google Play. You can enter it IN THIS LINK. Once you’re inside click on the button Become a tester to definitively access the application’s trial version program.

The first thing you have to do to access the Spotify beta on your iPhone is download the TestFlight app. You can find it in the App Store, and it is used to access all the applications that have a beta phase on iOS.
In second place, you have to enter the invitation link to the Spotify beta, which in this case is THIS LINK. There is bad news, and that is Apple puts a limit of 10,000 people for betas. This means that when you try to enter you may not be able to sign up, and that you will have to wait until it coincides that someone has abandoned it to take their place.
When you enter the link, if there is room to access the beta you will have to click on the button Start the tests. That will take you to a screen where now you will only have press the Install button of the application under test to download it to the device.
And that’s it. When you do all this you will download the beta version of Spotify on iOS. In the application icon, a yellow circle will appear next to the name to indicate that it is the beta version.
