Pokémon Horizons: Impressive 3D advertising draws attention to the start of the anime

Pokémon Horizons will finally be launching in Germany in February. You can follow the first season without Ash Ketchum on TOGGO. The Pokémon Company is drawing attention to the anime launch with, among other things, an impressive 3D advertisement at Piccadilly Circus in London.

These 3D billboards are primarily known from Japan, where Final Fantasy VII Remake, Pokémon GO and Final Fantasy XVI, among others, have already been advertised in this way. But Square Enix also advertised Forspoken in Times Square in New York. This plays with the illusion of 3D models that stand out from advertising.

In the case of Pokémon Horizons, it looks as if Captain Friedel’s airship barely comes to a stop in a huge garage. Piccadilly Circus is a busy, massive intersection and public square in London’s West End. The Pokémon Company has a video of it shared on Twitter. You can also watch the video on Tiktok.

This week the broadcast of Pokémon: Ultimate Journeys ends and with it the adventure of Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu. Pokémon Horizons then focuses on the characters Liko and Rory. While Ash is no longer there, Pikachu is of course still taking place in a different form.

Oliver Atom without legs at the end of ‘Champions’, the tragic twist of the anime that is actually a fascinating myth

There are many who believe that Oliver Atom was left without legs at the end of ‘Champions towards the world cup’the fourth television adaptation of the manga Yoichi Takahashi ‘Captain Tsubasa’, which in Spain we know as ‘Champions: Oliver and Benji’, in an episode that supposedly aired only once and that raised enormous controversy. Incredible, did they really dare to do something like that in a children’s series?

It is impossible not to be drawn to want to believe that this really happened but the problem is that it is a lie. The myth was that Oliver woke up in the last episode of ‘Champions to the World Cup’, without legs in a hospital bedimplying that his entire career as a footballer had been a dreamsince an accident as a child had left him in that state.

An insane turn that went even further than that of ‘Los Serrano’ and that gave rise to several montages in video who try to be as convincing as possible to support it. Below you have one.

How it was forged

It is easy to understand why there are people who are so impressed when they see this that they take it as true, and it is too shocking as not to do it. The problem is that the video itself invites us to think of little more than a conspiracy to score a goal for us.

Its origin is in Latin America, spreading like wildfire through other Spanish-speaking countries, and is supported by a scene of Oliver in the hospital whose origin we will see below:

In it minute 1 and 42 seconds From episode 16 of ‘Champions towards the World Cup’ (‘Captain Tsubasa: Road to 2002’ or ‘Supercampeones: Road to the World Cup’ in Latin America) you can see Oliver lying in a hospital bed due to an injury that affects his shoulder .

To that they added the claim of a montage of the character without legs and crazy comments without any basis about the supposed controversy when they broadcast it for the only time – it is less credible that they have continued to broadcast it normally and you want to sell it as a find – and now have an urban legend ready to serve.

The real ending of ‘Champions’

Everything sounded so shocking that the theory soon spread as the true ending of the series, especially in Spanish-speaking countries. What didn’t take long to arrive were the memes mocking this gigantic madness. That didn’t stop many from continuing to consider it good, and it sounds so good… Let’s check what was really happening in episode 52 of ‘Champions towards the World Cup’, the last of the series:

At the end of ‘Champions towards the World Cup’ we see the Japanese team about to face the Brazilian teama dream come true for Oliver who at that time was playing in Spain in a team equivalent to what today would be FC Barcelona, while Mark Lenders was in Italy and Benji Price in Germany.

Of course, the epilogue focuses on the clash against Brazil whose result we never knew and which It wasn’t part of the manga. Besides, the manga author himself denied in an interview given to El Comercio the myth that Oliver is left without legs. This is what he said about it:

“I found out about that legend a short time ago. But those scenes that went viral are not real, they are just jokes that are part of a myth. It did not arise from my story.”

It is therefore confirmed that Oliver Atom never lost his legs. It is true that Takahashi had already played with unexpected elements such as Julian Ross’s heart problems (all of us fans remember that episode that ended with his heartbeat…), but this was going too far, especially as a possible end to the series.

And I say possible because it is still published today. ‘Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun’ with Oliver aiming to make the Japanese Olympic team.

After more than a year and 61 episodes, the longest fight in anime history has concluded with a happy ending. Luffy is still unbeatable in One Piece

Warning: Spoilers for the last episode of the One Piece anime

On September 17, the last chapter of a confrontation that has made history in anime was finally broadcast: the confrontation between Luffy and Kaido. Over the past few weeks, One Piece fans have gone absolutely crazy watching Luffy’s new transformation, along with totally stunning animation and an exceptional ending.

And, in addition to making history in the anime industry for its epicness, it also made history for the number of episodes: 61 episodes spread over 1 year, 4 months and 23 days. To give you an idea, this fight has lasted longer than high-caliber works like Fullmetal Alchemist, the entire arc of the chuunin exams in Naruto and even longer than Goku’s endless fight against Frieza in Dragon Ball Z.

Until now, the record for the longest fight in anime history was also held by One Piece, but instead of Kaido, Luffy had to face off against Katakurione of the most formidable enemies the Straw Hat has faced and which lasted more than 20 chapters in the anime.

Of course, One Piece wants to postulate itself as one of the most legendary works in history, both in Japan and in the West, since in addition to being the best-selling manga of all time, it is the most successful book saga in history, surpassing a titan like Harry Potter. We don’t know if we will see a fight of this caliber again, but we are sure that over the next few years we will see duels and battles that we will remember forever.

The most ridiculous controversy of ‘One Piece’ has come neither because of the CGI nor the fidelity to the anime, it has been the canary Sanji of Taz Skylar: “When I was little I never heard anyone with my accent on TV”

There were many “buts” to take away from the live action series of ‘One Piece’. And even before the premiere, there were complaints that if Luffy was not wearing flip-flops, and once the rhythm changes were released, CGI that is not entirely convincing, or the scissors, some characters have not liked everyone.

But the controversy that we definitely did not see coming was that of the Canarian accent of Sanji in the Spanish version of ‘One Piece’.

Sanji is not from the North Blue, he is from Tenerife

taz skylar he plays the Straw Hats’ cook in the Netflix version. And although we are more used to hearing him in promos and trailers with his British accent He speaks Spanish perfectly because he was born and grew up in the Canary Islands, in Tenerife. He is the son of a Sierra Leonean-Lebanese and an English woman, he has dual British and Spanish nationality, and in the Spanish dubbing of ‘One Piece’ he has dubbed himself.

The controversy in networks has come about because while the rest of the voices have a neutral accent, Skylar hasn’t changed her accent to dub and now Sanji has a canary accent. And in the child’s version of him the dubbing actress has dubbed him Carla Ravelowho has also kept his Canarian accent so that there is consistency with the character’s voice.

Some criticism has come towards the quality of dubbing, because in the end Skylar is a professional dubber and it shows that he has recorded in a different studio. And so far so good because many times the dubbing of actors and inexperienced dubbing can take you completely out of the movie or series on duty. But a part of the complaints criticized his accent itself and how he “bumped” too much with the rest of the voices.

Fiction dubbing tends to be more neutral and we end up forgetting about it. the variety of accents so rich that we have in Spain… so many times, unless it’s to do the ___ on duty, we hear too much diversity. Because at the time, with the dubbing of the anime of ‘One Piece’, well that Usopp is called “Usuf” and had an Arabic accent to put jokes, but that’s good that it is still remembered with affection and nostalgia.

The good part is that in the end the “canary sanji“has ended up winning the vast majority of ‘One Piece’ fans (accompanying with memes, fanart and “explanations” that Sanji sounds like that because he is from another ocean) to celebrate that the canary accent is reaching so many people. And In the end, the controversy has ended up reaching Taz Skylar himself, who has made it clear that he is very proud to represent the canaries with his accent.

“As a kid I never heard anyone with my accent on TV,” Skylar wrote on X (Twitter). “I thank everyone who supported the dubbing and I look forward to hearing more voices from more places throughout my life being represented.”

So perhaps from the Canary Sanji it will begin to normalize being able to hear more different accents in dubbing, and that it won’t “shock” us so much when suddenly one slips into a series.

TUTORIAL : How to make anime in Infinite Craft

If you’re on the internet Googling this, chances are you’re a weeb, and I respect that. Here’s how to create an anime in Infinite Craft.

How to make anime in Infinite Craft

Infinite Craft has well over 200,000 possible combinations, and of course, anime is somehow on that list. Not only is it one of the most popular styles of animation, but its worldwide cult of fans ensures that not only is anime on the list, but it is a necessary element for creating very unique combinations.

But I only discovered one combination that will allow you to create anime in the game. And that is to combine Japan with America. Fortunately, this is a very easy combination to make, because they both share a fundamental element, the continent. Let’s dive in.

  • Water + Water = Lake
  • Lake + Water = Ocean
  • Ocean + Land = Island
  • Island + Island = Continent
  • Continent + Lake = America
  • Continent + Mountain = Asia
  • Asia + Island = Japan
  • Japan + America = Anime

And There you go. The combination may seem confusing at first glance. But did you know that the first popular Japanese animated television series, Astro Boy, was heavily influenced by American animation? There are also other theories that America helped influence the creation of anime after World War II, but these are simply too controversial to discuss in this article.

Instead, why not try combining anime with unique crafting options? If you snap together Anime and God, for example, you will get Goku. And if you combine anime with the element Eternity you get Sailor Moon. With this, you can now slap Goku and Sailor Moon together to see if one fares better than the other, and finally put an end to these decades-old internet arguments.
