The gold watch worn by David Beckham at Wimbledon is a rare model that you absolutely need

David Beckham is an icon in England and every year he enjoys incredible success when he arrives in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. This was again the case on Wednesday July 5, 24 hours after a certain Roger Federer.

The Swiss player returned for the first time since announcing his retirement in September 2022 on Tuesday July 4. Eight-time winner of the Wimbledon tournament (a record, which will be equaled by Novak Djokovic if the Serbian wins this 2023 edition), Roger Federer had chosen a beige suit, a white and blue striped shirt, a pair of Oliver Peoples glasses with frames “cherry blossom” color and a beautiful Rolex Sky-Dweller watch for the occasion. David Beckham did the same, more or less.

The former English football international, 48, also chose beige, but only for his jacket. His pants were lighter, close to white. Like his shirt. A fashion combo made in Ralph Lauren, all in all, very classic for a day in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. David Beckham nevertheless enhanced it with a pocket square and a brown tie. Not forgetting sunglasses and a… green watch. Yes, Victoria’s husband’s watch is indeed green.

A gold Tudor watch with a green dial for David Beckham

Ambassador of the Tudor brand, David Beckham could have chosen the Black Bay 58 bronze model with a brown dial, just to continue his brown lineage. However, he chose another timepiece, with a green dial, undoubtedly to pay homage to Wimbledon (you are probably aware that the English grand slam tournament is played on grass). Or maybe (and also) because he prefers gold to bronze. David Beckham indeed wore the Black Bay 58 18K, this 18 K meaning that the case is in 18 carat gold.

David Cage is not planning a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls at this time

David Cagethe founder of Quantic Dream said that there is no no plans at the moment for a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls. It was during an interview given to the official PlayStation website that the French creator ruled out the possibility of a sequel to his title, which first appeared in 2013 before returning this week to PlayStation 4 in a remastered version. .

The screenwriter and director of the project insists on the fact that he preferred to move towards new ideas and explore other types of games once a project is finished.

I know this is very unusual in the industry, but we don’t want to make the same game ten times, or get too comfortable doing only the things we know.

We love the excitement that comes with taking new risks, new things to try, crazy new ideas to explore, and seeing how our fans and community will react.

For your part, are you seduced by David Cage’s vision of things or would you have appreciated some of his titles benefiting from a direct sequel?

David Tennant casts Call of Duty: WWII zombies

The observant Twitterer of course already knew: Doctor Who himself, David Tennant, takes on the role of Drostan Hynd in the zombie mode of Call of Duty: WWII. We don’t know very much about this undead blast fest, so you shouldn’t ask the Guardian who that Drostan Hynd is … but thanks to a leaked trailer, the internet believes that this mode will be called Army of the Undead.

Sorry if you scroll down completely happy now; the video has unfortunately been taken offline again. So you have to make do with this Tweet from Sledgehammer Games, in which the developer says that they are almost finished with their ‘ Zombies Trailer’. It is none other than Jedah Dohma from Darkstalkers who makes an appearance on the roster of the fighting game.

DotA 2 The International prize pool is the biggest ever

With a month to go, The International’s prize pool, the DotA 2 eSports event, is already the highest ever. For the occasion, the Guardian taps out the entire amount; the counter is at $ 21,437,112. In comparison, last year the prize pool ended up stuck at around $ 20.7 million.

Valve basically raises these spectacular amounts by selling premium content. For example, The International’s Battle Pass this year includes a two-part multiplayer campaign. You score the features for amounts ranging from $ 9.99 to $ 36.99. Of the sales of these Battle Passes, 25 percent ultimately ends up in the DotA 2 prize pool.

Disclaimer: the counter keeps ticking, so the Guardian cannot guarantee that that $ 21.4 million will still be correct. Otherwise, take a look yourself.

Memes and things

Today in memes and stuff we debunk seven urban legends (although cartridge blowing just really works, huh) and check the lore of the Sega Mega Drive in a minute … or two and a half.
