When starting The Division 2 you get the error message “Easy Anti-Cheat Integrity Violation. You may need to reinstall the game.“ displayed? If The Division 2 does not start and the above message appears right at the start of the game or shortly after joining the server, then something has probably gone wrong with the anti-cheat software called EasyAntiCheat. Even though you can usually fix the error message by completely reinstalling the game, it is also easier and usually much faster, especially if you don’t have the fastest internet connection and have already needed a few hours to download.
The Division 2: Easy Anti-Cheat error message
If you see the integrity violation of Easy-Anti-Cheat when starting the game or, more precisely, when establishing a connection to the server (which, by the way, usually occurs together with the error code Charlie-03), then you can simply “reinstall” the cheat software and not by completely reinstalling the game but by checking the game files for errors. Similar to what some of you may already know from Steam and Co, there is also a “repair function” in the Uplay client with which you can check the files of a game at the push of a button and repair them if necessary. In the past, this function has often saved us from having to re-download and completely reinstall.
- Launch the Uplay client and go to the “Games” tab in the menu bar at the top.
- Now right-click on The Division 2 entry and select “Check Files” from the context menu.
- The automatic repair now starts and the Easy Anti-Cheat software should be reinstalled so that the integrity violation no longer occurs.
