XDefiant will be supported for a “long time”; closed beta may be extended

After a time of absence, we have recently been able to share some more information about Ubisoft’s XDefiant. A closed beta is now underway and in talks with MP1st Patrick Price takes a closer look at the future of the multiplayer shooter.

The former Call of Duty pro, who now works at Ubisoft, says that XDefiant is not a simple release and that the game is then finished. Price says they hope they can support the shooter long after release. For example, we can think of updates with new content and new seasons, so that’s something fans can keep in mind if they decide to get started with the game.

Meanwhile, the beta is not yet going as hoped. Ubisoft has already rolled out a number of updates to stabilize the situation. Executive producer Mark Rubin has already indicated on Twitter that he is fed up with the problems that have (or have been) and that Ubisoft is considering extending the closed beta once things have improved.

Oh, and if all goes well and the servers finally gain some stability then I think we should look at extending the Beta but I have to see what that would mean for team.
