A few days ago the new Resident Evil 2 remake was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC and, as expected, the game is enjoying great popularity. After almost 21 years, Capcom has revived the popular title and brought a remake onto the market that is visually very attractive and has very good gameplay. Even though many people certainly want to play through and experience the Resident Evil 2 Remake alone, one or two players may ask themselves the question whether the game actually has a co-op mode and can you play Resident Evil 2 Remake with two people on one console in split screen and play couch co-op?
Is there a co-op mode in the Resident Evil 2 Remake?
Even though a co-op mode in the Resident Evil 2 remake would certainly be a good option, the game is limited to single player on both the PC and the consoles in the form of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Similar to the original, there is no multiplayer mode in the remake and, based on our research, it doesn’t seem to be planned. In the current version of the game there is neither an online co-op nor an offline co-op mode that allows you to play the horror game with two people in split screen in front of a television.
You probably shouldn’t have the highest hopes for this topic, because so far there is no information about a planned multiplayer and this includes both offline co-op for split-screen action with friends in front of a console and online co-op.
Update: In the meantime Capcom also on the subject of co-op expressed. Unfortunately, not good news, as a co-op mode is not planned.
If something has changed on the topic in the meantime, please feel free to leave us a short note in the comments and we will add the information here.
