Android 14: Which Galaxy will benefit from it?

The next operating system, Android 14, is currently in the testing phase at Google. It should start rolling out to mobiles this fall. If you have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, it is legitimate to wonder if your device will benefit from this update. Samsung has not yet communicated officially on the subject. However, the Korean giant’s update policy already gives us some indications of the eligible models.

Samsung’s new update policy

Early 2022Samsung has announced a new policy regarding Android updates. This announcement was seen as a significant improvement from Samsung. Especially since the company has indicated that it wants to provide a better user experience for its customers.

What changes with this policy?

With this new approach, Samsung is committed to providing regular updates for its Galaxy smartphones. Especially when it comes to new versions of Android. This means that some models will receive updates for a longer period.. As for the others, they may receive security patches more frequently.

Galaxy models eligible for update to Android 14

We have taken into account the information available on Samsung’s update policy. Additionally, we reviewed the manufacturer’s previous announcements regarding software support. So, here is a non-exhaustive list of Galaxy models that should benefit from the update to Android 14:

Galaxy S series

This high-end series is undoubtedly the one that will benefit most quickly and widely fromAndroid 14. Models such as the Galaxy S23, S22 and their variants are very likely to receive this update as soon as it is deployed in the fall of 2023.

Galaxy Note series

The Galaxy Note series is among the company’s premium mobiles. Thus, we can expect that recent models can receive Android 14. This is the case of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. However, it will likely take a few weeks or months after the initial release to see these devices receive the update.

Galaxy A-Series

For mid-range smartphones, the situation is slightly less clear. Some flagship Galaxy A series models, such as the Galaxy A52, A72 and their successors, may benefit from the update to Android 14. However, the deployment may be slower. On the other hand, the chances are lower for some earlier versions of the series.

The ESLAND 2024 finally receives a change that will greatly benefit TheGrefg’s awards gala. There will be a professional jury away from fanaticism

2024 will begin in style with the celebration in Andorra of the ESLAND. The live content creation awards gala directed by TheGrefg will return in the best possible way, as it has finally announced that there will be significant changes regarding voting.

Through a live video with Pol, a content creator who explained last year the most effective process for this type of awards, all the changes that will come to the third edition of the ESLAND were announced, being the selection of nominees and the final votes the most outstanding.

After several discussions, it has been concluded that professionals should have much more weight in the votes than the general public. This has led to the fact that, after two years of controversy, the distribution of votes is 25% for the public and 75% for the creators of content.

Important and necessary changes for ESLAND 2024

They will exist two types of categories: the professional ones and the popular ones. In the popular ones, the public will have 50% of the votes and those that have the most weight in the community will be included, such as ‘clip of the year’ or ‘anger of the year’. As for the professional categories, instead of being chosen by the people, will be decided through statistical analysis to avoid meaningless nominations. Thus, the 10 best in each category in terms of views and hours recorded will go to the final phase.

Once the content creators have been chosen in each category, you can vote for 4 candidates from all the nominees in order of preference. It should be noted that these votes will not begin until next year, since this will allow an analysis to be made based on the entire year. It seems that Grefg wants to find the formula for the ESLAND to last beyond a trilogy that stands out more for its controversies than for the awards themselves.
