The Division 2 – What is targeted loot and how to find it

One of the most important parts of a game like The Division 2 is loot. Loot is what drives people to play the game and complete missions. If you have enough materials, you can easily craft an item instead of finding it. Loot can be found in various locations throughout the game, such as dead enemies, chests, and vendors. An innovative feature added to the game is the targeted loot system. in this guide, we’ll explain what targeted loot is and how to find it.

The Division 2 – What is targeted loot and how to find it

The Division 2 features a targeted loot system. This system causes the loot allocation for the entire map to occur every few hours. This means that after every 8 hours the type of loot available in the open world will change. Targeted loot does not replace the regular loot drops you get in-game, it is added as a bonus. Players will have access to Targeted Loot once they reach level 40. With Targeted Loot, players can find specific types of loot. Here is a list of the different types of loot that can be found:

  • Weapon Archetypes
  • Equipment slots
  • Brands
  • Gear Mods / Skill Mods
  • Gear sets

You’ll know you’ve found targeted loot if the item in question has a golden column around it. Targeted loot can be found in many places, but is only guaranteed to drop under certain conditions. Named Bosses and NPCs in the Open World and Dark Zone both drop targeted loot. Completing an activity in the open world also drops guaranteed loot.

LoL Lunar Revel 2024 event: start, Battle Pass and loot

The Lunar Revel 2024 is expected to be the next event on February 7 to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Once again we are receiving many new skins, as well as other key rewards. Everything will be part of the event pass, so be sure to check if you want to pick up the Battle Pass this time.

The last Winterblessed event, at the end of 2023, is over. Next, we will move directly to the next and first in-game event for 2024 in League of Legends. To celebrate the Lunar New Year in China, we will have a worthy one, like every year since the release of the Battle Pass events: the Lunar Festival Event 2024.

With him, after a year and a half after the release of Nilah, we will finally have a brand new ADC: Smolder, the fiery young man. In addition to this, there will be 2 new skins for the Mythic Shop. But what else will the Lunar Revel event bring? Let’s dive in!

LoL: Lunar Revel 2024 event: start and duration

The Lunar Revel 2024 event will begin with Update 14.3 on February 7 and it will likely be a longer event, lasting at least 2 patches. It will be separated into 2 parts, similar to the Lunar Revel 2023 event. The first part will include Heavenscale skins, while the second part will bring back the beloved Porcelain skin line.

LoL: Lunar Revel 2024 Event: Pass and Event Pack

As always, there will likely be several options to choose from for the event pass. Depending on which option you choose, you will get specific loot. However, we don’t know what kind of loot you can expect. But since Riot isn’t really shaking things up with event passes, we’ll guess for you below. However, keep in mind that Riot hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

LoL Lunar Revel 2024 Event Pass Rewards

Since changing the event route in 2022, Riot has consistently included several stages accessible to everyone, including those who chose not to purchase the pass. Like every other pass since then, there will likely be a total of 50 Event Pass milestones, with missions 50-55 being infinitely repeatable. However, it remains to be seen which ones exactly.

But what we can assure you is that the new Prestige Heavenscale Skin for Ezreal will cost 2,000 Event Tokens. And with the completion of event missions, it will definitely be an achievable task.

Otherwise, if you already have 100 Ezreal skins like me, you can also pay attention to Prestige porcelain family in the second part of the Lunar Revel 2024 event. Their skin will, however, be accessible with Mythic Essence, which you can probably buy for 2,200 tokens.

LoL Lunar Revel 2024 event loot

There will also be some loot boxes, as usual with this League of Legends event. There are orbs, as well as purses, that players can purchase, either with real money or event tokens. So, let’s take a quick look at the new loot, as well as the Event Pass and its tokens, shall we?

Alongside the slightly more basic loot, we will also have a capsule showcase. And you all know what that means, right? That’s right, another $200 worth of chroma. Yaaaay… The mythical chroma will be for Lee Sin and his legendary Heavenscale skin.

LoL Lunar Revel Rotating Game Mode – URF

But we’re not just getting a bunch of in-game rewards. URF will also finally be making a comeback in LoL. The last time we were able to play the fan-favorite game mode was in February 2023. Since then, we haven’t seen it again, so it’s sure that many players like you and I will be excited to see the return of URF.

Scum – Locations of the best loot, firearms and equipment (map)

Visit underground bunkers, police stations, hunting camps and other locations to find awesome firearms ammunition and armor.

Scum is an early access survival game from Croteam, gamepires and Devolver Digital. You can also kill zombies with simple spears in it, but if you really want to stay alive longer, you won’t be able to avoid getting a really good weapon. This means that you have to know where Scums huge map – it is 144 square kilometers in size – good firearms can be found.

Despite the size of the map Scum There’s a shocking amount of good gear – guns, ammo and armor – to be found just about anywhere, meaning you’re never very far from a weapon and gear stash wherever you may end up. As the game is in Early Access, things may change as development progresses, but here’s a look at the best spots to stock up on good gear right now.

Larger version of the map

The above map was created by Suspectlive created on Reddit (also take a look at his Twitch channel) and it’s extremely helpful to have it open on a second monitor while you play. There Scums map (opened by pressing M) displays your current position with a small blue arrow, you can quickly see where you are in relation to the spots marked on the map above.

underground bunker

Underground bunker (shown on the map yellow dots marked) are great places to find loot. The two I’ve visited so far featured multiple levels with plenty of guns, ammo, body armor, tactical clothing, and even MREs, the latter a delicious change of pace after all the zombie meat and shrooms I’ve encountered had to eat on my way to the first bunker.

But you can’t just walk in! Bunkers are usually guarded by two mechs, large stomping robots that will issue a warning as soon as they see you, followed by a volley of bullets two seconds later. Bunkers are also home to lots of soldier zombies, some of whom still wear military gear, including helmets, making them harder to take down than the average village zombie.

Stealth is your friend: crouch, stay hidden, and try to spot the entrance to the bunker from outside the perimeter fence (A solid tip: usually a mech patrols in front of it, moving in a triangular route). After luring and eliminating a few nearby zombies, I managed to sneak in close, open the bunker’s hatch, and fall in (the mech hit me just as I opened the hatch, but I survived). Then I felt like a kid in a candy store: lots of loot in the armory, around the medical area, the offices, and the boxes scattered around the bunker.

Police stations and hunting camps

police stations (Light Blue on the map) are reasonable places to look for weapons – as long as they haven’t already been looted by other players. If you want to avoid the extremely deadly mechs, you should go to a town with a police station: there is one in each grid of the map. But in any big city you will come across numerous zombies, both on the streets and in the surrounding area. And unless you have a very powerful system, all of these houses will cause the frame rate to drop a lot.

hunting camps (green marked) are harder to get to as there are only a few of them on the map, but in the ones I’ve visited so far I’ve always found at least some firearms and some ammo for them. There are also some zombies hanging around these camps.

outpost

Currently, there isn’t much to be found in outposts marked in pink on the map above. The outposts I’ve visited so far weren’t guarded, but there wasn’t much loot there either, especially very rarely a weapon. It is currently not possible to enter the TEC-1 buildings, so you should search the containers and small offices. Outposts are safe but don’t pay much, so if you’re in dire need of food or gear, head to a town or bunker.

Landmarks

Locations like the airfield, factory, prison, and those marked with a star on the map above are large areas of loot; But you also have to reckon with mechs, zombies and, above all, other players. They are dangerous places for several reasons, so you should exercise caution accordingly. The trenches in C3 are devoid of ‘Mechs, so this is a pretty good place to get equipment, but you’ll find both just-landed players looking for loot and already fairly well-equipped players, who are looking for PvP.

Of course, there are many other places on the map where you can find equipment – clusters of buildings are marked orange on your in-game map, and you can also always find single or a few buildings as you walk around. As the game continues to develop, we’re sure to find more places to reliably stock up on everything you need.

Genshin Impact is banned in Belgium due to loot boxes … but only in the PS4 version

Following the heated debate on loot boxes and microtransactions present in video games aimed at young audiences, some politicians have decided to intervene and implement new rules on the management of g******g, also including these notorious prize boxes.

The state that most of all has trodden the situation is certainly the Belgium: thanks to the new laws active for a few months, loot boxes are now considered to all intents and purposes g******g and, as such, illegal in products intended for a minor public. If the developers or the managers of a video game cannot remove these mechanics from their products, Belgium does not allow the diffusion of this title, effectively banning it from the whole territory.

The latest “victim” of this legislation is Genshin Impact, free to play Chinese that is conquering the whole world. As a free-to-play title, loot boxes and microtransactions are the only source of sustenance for this acclaimed RPG game, but the law does not allow for exceptions, and since the “luck” mechanics cannot be removed, Genshin Impact was officially banned from Belgium … but also not.

The title in Belgium is not downloadable on PlayStation 4 but, inexplicably, it is still present in the local stores of Android is PC, without any restrictions. Indeed, marketing campaigns and advertising continue to persist.

In other words, only PS4 players have had to say goodbye to Genshin Impact, but everyone else can continue to play (and spend) without a problem. To be honest, this is not so true either, as it is enough to create a PSN account in another region and this “block” would also be solved.

We do not know if this forgetfulness is a delay in the execution of the law, an error, or there is a legal loop involved that keeps the mobile and PC versions in stall, but it all seems decidedly … paradoxical.

Belgium has successfully eliminated microtransactions and loot boxes from games such as FIFA, big money factories for EA, but it seems that the law and its applications are still very immature.

What do you think?
